Laptops Macbook Air issues

Yesterday evening i used it and turned it off without any issues. Today morning when i plugged in the charger, the charging light turned on and suddenly due to some loose connection of socket and pins, the light turned off. From that moment, my macbook air is not taking any charge and on top of that its not turning ON as well. Please help. What could be the issue? Should i seek the service centre?

Did you try pressing and holding the power button for more than 10 seconds to see if it "resets" itself?

I have tried everything. In the end i took it to 3rd party repairs. They are saying its SMC has gone bad and a new replacement will cost 11k. Kinda expensive for me but what else can be done now.

DO a smc reset by following this seps :

SMC RESET

1. Shut down the computer.
2. Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
3. On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
4. Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.

Smc reset is possible only with a spi programmer. Let me know if you want to know how .
