Ubisoft just increased their new game prices by almost 100%

For Honor ₹3499

Ghost Recon Wildlands ₹3499

GGWP

Watchdogs 2 is still ₹1799. Will they?

No issues. We can gladly go back to piracy/grey market

I guess when sales crap out they can complain about piracy like they always do

There's always gamersgate.com where you can buy Ghost Recon Gold Edition for $38.26 which is approx 2.7k. Also the prices are in Rp ( Indonesian Rupiah).
Please note The game is region locked for India and like regions only. Also there is a sale going on for 4 days that's why it's cheap. The DRM is uPlay not steam (Means you have to activate this game via uPlay not Steam) I paid $38.26 for Gold Edition and currently downloading the game via uPlay. I made a mistake of not buying via steam. But atleast won't be paying double the amount for this game.

GamersGate, haven't bought from them in a long time. They used to sell in dollars, how come they are selling in Rupiah now?

I am one of those guys who hates ubi to its fullest, they dont exist for me.

Ubisoft Ceo said the reason for crappy pc ports was because "90% of PC gamers are pirates anyways"

DUDE WTF? i spent on your games,

Splinter Cell Blacklist Upper echelon edition,
Assassins Creed Black flag, i pre ordered it
I had Assassins creed 3 for both PS3 and Pc
I paid for Watch Dogs with that aiden Statue that is now selling for $20
I pre ordered The Division

And you are saying The reason these games are crappy is because someone decided not pay for your product? why am i suffering due to them?

aside from G2A, which lets not talk about, Ubisoft is number 2 on my avoid list.

It's a pity, since they were putting out some decent titles recently and haven't been afraid of experimenting.

Haven't really cared about any of their games recently. Its just farcry 2/assassins creed 2 in a different setting. Only one i played was division thinking it will be different, but turned out to be the same. This just makes it easy to ignore their games like call of duty. (Havent even played ehm version of their games).

I wont agree with you Caldaster. Division was different in many ways compared to their other titles. Besides, Division was enjoyable with friends though I agree playing solo is as good as playing Borderlands solo. Me, K1th, ShankDil, NK we all had fun in Division specially the loot extraction zones and threats around in DZ.

Wah!! finding reasons to justify the piracy habits??
You should check my steam/origin/uplay/battle.net profile to see if I'm inclined to go that route :) Like it or not, these absurd pricing will only encourage people to stay there forever. Heck even Gaben can't convince people at this price lol.

We dont steal because we cant afford an Audi do we? Hope you understand the point.
Besides, I dint specifically mention you or blame you of doing it but the justification and reasoning of high pricing to be the reason for piracy is absurd. Its a habit which people try and justify by various means and I am only pointing at it.

Also, to resolve ones habits of piracy and corruption (just added though not relevant), the change should come from within.

If Audi can be downloaded and 3D printed, people will steal and use at their will.

Nope !! Piracy cannot be stopped but more people will come out of it ONLY if the Digital goods are affordable to them. PERIOD
If it wasn't for Steam sales/regional pricing, many would still continue to pirate games. Greedy Publishers should stop the blame game and address the glaring issue at hand.

But you have to look at it properly, Its the same thing. The game gives you a open world, which is littered with quests, which are the same thing, just a different story or environment. And you fight enemies who are basically either of 4 types.
Bring a couple of friends and then the game will be fun. But is the game worth it then. (dunno might be just me)
FYI, L4D and Payday are made for co-op and are hell-lot-of-fun.
"Insanity is doing the exact same ****ing thing over and over again, expecting... shit to change." - From a ubisoft game :D

So are you saying all the open world games are the same? How is this description differs on any other open world game, for example - GTA series, Saints row series, Elder scroll, Witcher, Fallout etc?? I have intentionally excluded titles from the same stable that are open world in nature.
They all do the same thing aint it? Littered quest, different story/environment and you fight enemies of different class?? :D

Well, all I am saying is by genre you can't generalize everything. Genre is a classification and all the games in the genre has the same formula. The catch is to enjoy the subtle differences in them and what they have done best within the IP.
