English TV series discussion

I was very reluctant when I started watching Doctor Who. Started within the last one month. Had heard a lot about this and also had mentions in TBBT and such shows. Was skeptical whether I would like it or not but now I am almost at the end episodes of Season 2 and I am loving this show. Each episode is different and fun.
lmao its the best show ever dude

It all depends on you having seen GOT or not, there are some striking similarities, like both are period dramas with action, Viking earlier seasons are interesting the later ones starting with 3, 4, 5 kind of feel like being dragged

Is there any one who have watched the complete episodes of the "The Vikings" TV series. I have heard about it on many places and I want good review from a member who have seen it. Is it worth watching TV series? I need your replies in this regard folks!

No. Watching TV is bad. Read a book and drink milk. I recommend Blood Meridian.

Completed Jack Ryan last week and Ozark Season 2 this evening.

Jack Ryan was gripping and had me hooked from episode one. Ozark season 2, the ending now makes me salivate for the third season. This show reminds me of one of my very favorite show's "The American's" in certain ways.

Better Call Saul Season 4 is a snooze fest after three great seasons. It seems the writers are trying to stretch the story as much as possible.
Because they just don’t want to join it with breaking bad so early.

Anyways you correctly said. season 4 was dull and not remotely close with previous seasons.
Guess season 5 will be the last or last watchable before Vincent Gillian took Ekta Kapoor as inspiration.

I m hearing of one more spin-off of breaking bad.

Watching Orphan Black and this main actress is fabulous I feel. She is playing so many characters and you never even feel they are all same person. All are so distinct but acted very very well in each it's own way.

Better Call Saul S04 was pretty freaking good. What the hell you guys are talking about?

That tunnel scene had me on the edge. Everyone's story (Jimmy, Kim, Mike, Nacho, cartels) is so freaking good.

It's a slow burn show with emphasis on characters. It was never going to be like Breaking Bad.

Daredevil Season 3 - 8/10
They rectified the mistake of Season 2 where there was no good villain and brought back Kingpin. I daresay this is the best season of Daredevil

The Haunting Of Hill House -10/10
I just hope Netflix doesn't get greedy and do a True Detective/13 Reasons Why style stretched out Season 2 but knowing Netflix's quantity over quality rule thats bound to happen.
Man what a ride. Even though its a horror show the This Is Us-esque ending leaves you content and satisfied but after half an hour you say wait a minute....This is a horror show..How come the evil of the house is not taken care of. Was I duped?????
This is the same thing and I thought and then I read this-
https://screenrant.com/haunting-hill-house-ending-twists-explained/

If the author of this piece is on point then I daresay this is the best fourth wall breaking mindfuck any TV show/movie has ever been able to achieve to the best of my knowledge.

Started watching American Horror Story and Initially in the first season, I was actually scared. More so because I am currently living alone so that just magnified it. But it was pretty good and I am now on 4th Season. Binge watching one season after another, it is sort of weird to see many of the same people again (from previous season) in different character in next season.

Started
  • How to get Away with Murder : fast paced, decent show
  • Mentalist : something I watch with my wife, one case per episode, thriller. So-so, mostly watch-able, boring at times.
