Hi guys,

I need working drive or its pcb to recover data from my old dead drive. I suspect its pcb is the culprit which went kaput due to corrosion over time.

I am from Pune, Mumbai (thane). If anyone dont mind letting me borrow their drive or pcb or wish to sell, please let me know.

stamping on pcb is '2060-701537-003 REV A'.

And drive model is WD6400AAKS - 00A7B0

This allows for excellent dependability, fast read/write speeds, and generally better performance for high-capacity hard drives.

However, it prevents end users from switching out failed circuit boards. Even if you attempted to transplant your hard drive’s original firmware chip onto a new, identical board, you could cause problems that would permanently destroy your files.

Tks for the info. But what other option I have? Neither I know good people to repair the pcb nor I wish to spend exorbitant amounts for data recovery.

Though my data is extremely important for me. So don't want to give it up without trying.
