ACT Fibernet tariff Increase and Plans related [20-21]

swatkats

Skilled

Chennai - Rs. 21
Hyderabad - Rs. 25
Delhi - Rs. 50

Don't forget the TRAI rule, the plan prices cannot be changed for 6 months from the date of announcement.

Yes, received email. Maybe the increase is for those who are using it for more than 6 months. Still appreciate them for seamless connectivity during this lockdown period especially WFH.

Looks like Bangalore and Hyderabad are at parity. Chennai seems to be getting higher speeeds and data for the same money.

Yes, It clearly seems so.

Hyderabad would kick ACT FIBERNET soon out if they create a Scene Like Bangalore.
It's a matter of time, Airtel and Jio Fiber are expanding and people would have more options.

In bangalore, it seems like ACT's service is dependent on area. In some locations, it is acceptable while in others it is terrible. The experience in my previous house was bad. However in the current location, it is pretty good as it is fiber all the way till my router.

For me it was never a fiber connection till my router..
The final connectivity between the rooftop ACT's switch to my router was 100mbps at my previous location and then 1gbps at the new place

I guess they hang ethernet cables in flats while they provide a fiber connection to the customer's premises in case of independent houses. That ACT switch exists in my place and there's only one output from it - mine.

Maybe that is why there's no contention and I always get full speed.

It was like that for me. but now they replaced the wire from ACT switch to PC router with bigger cat6 cable

New plans are just simple and good.
Competition is always a Win-Win, you would be now paying only 25% on 1349 plan now if you compare it with 4999 earlier.
