Guys,

So, I bought this second hand Apple watch Series 4 - 44 MM (GPS) Nike edition for 19K. You think it was bad choice? or paid more ? or should have opted for other watches? I had Amazfit (Pace, Stratos1 and 3, GTS) and all these had bad GPS to be precise.

Although my next choice was Garmin Forerunner 235 priced at 16K for new; I was so confused and this was impulse buy.

What do you guys suggest? continue with Apple? or move away to Garmin? or hang around with Amazfit..

The thought is eating me away...I'm not sure if I want to hear my choice of purchase was wise/fool. Basically I'm clueless

Kindly advice.

Regards - Ram

Out of all other smart watches/fitness trackers, apple watch stands out with the ease of use and no fuss functionality. If you are a long time apple user, its better choice to stay within the apple ecosystem.

I am a horology guy and I think if it doesn't have moving parts in it, it is not really a watch! Of course there are some exceptions to this including the G-Shocks and the F91W that I simply love!

I never liked the Apple watch and I don't see myself buying it. That being said, if (and that's a super duper big IF!) I were to buy a so called 'smart watch", I would certainly go for an Apple Watch over the others you mentioned.

Apple designs elegant products and though I think the Apple "Watch" is a joke compared to my Seamaster Co-Axial Master Chronometer, I will say that if I were to be found dead wearing a "smart watch", I would rather it be an Apple Watch than any other one! Also, I use the iPhone so it will anyway be better suited (ecosystem and all!).

To quote Hodinkee:
Again, Apple has paid excruciating attention to detail in the design and wearability of the Apple Watch. In many cases, its offerings make what is coming out of Switzerland (or Asia) look amateurish. But, let me remind you that I am looking at this object as just that, the physical form, not in the interface. If this was simply a digital watch, I could say it's a well designed, well-executed one. But it's not a watch, and that's where I think it missed the mark.

are you having buyers remorse? its an excellent watch. try it out for few days
No. I'm just confused.... Was the investment worth the price? You know the feeling once you buy a device and it's newer model comes out and you are like. .Really?

No, Apple watch is not a bad choice but the reason I opting it as fitness device is the thought that's eating me away. I have just learnt to switch it on and off the device and learning to use with YouTube videos . .specially with battery saving tips and all.

Apple watches are the best smart watches in the market. It just works if you are in Apple eco system. My wife got Apple watch 5 and never been happier. Enjoy it buddy and I am sure none of other smart watch can replace it

Though I don't see myself in smart watches wagon anytime soon as I am into horology as well. Happy with Casio, Seiko and hamilton
