Budget Above 40k Is it the right time to buy iPhone 11…?

did apple removed charger form iphone 11 as well?
all listing in india has only type-c cable included in the box. .. doen anyone has any update on this.. I though apple included airpods+charged in iphone 11 for India region.
Yeah, apple said newer stocks of iphone 11 (made after announcement of 12) will be losing their charger and headphones as well.
Hence, many sellers have renamed their listings to mention it.

Why does someone need an iPhone these days?
Yes, if you're on Mac , all of your friends have iphones, may be.
Yes, they shoot amazing videos..but how many of you are making money from your videos.
If you're making money, you're possibly using a dedicated video camera from Sony or Canon or even a Panasonic.
If you're on Mac, how are you making money with it? Music production? LPX? Yes, it's fantastic..go on..
Not making enough money.. Windows + Samplitude Pro can give you better results ( it's a damn tough DAW, but can go far deeper than LPX) Need something easy and cheap? Presonus Studio One, almost at the same level as LPX.
You wanna show off...sure, buy it..just calculate one thing...if the iphone you're buying is less than 20 percent of your monthly income, buy it by all means. It's fast, stable, insta works better etc.etc.
This is coming from one of the oldest all Apple user in this forum for a decade.
Apple products these days are GARBAGE, and if you're in India, you're buying expensive garbage.
If you are on an older Mac, keep on using it...it will work forever..the newer ones..post 2015..3 years max, keyboard, faulty design, impossible to recover data, impossible to upgrade anything...good luck friends...I'm free from that slavery now...I can afford to watch and laugh.
Oh yes!! I can surely afford the 12 pro max ultra..whatever..the biggest e-dick 512GB, 10-15 of them. But I won't even visit an Apple Store for myself.
Macs, yes may consider in future for just one software. But iphones, never again!!

Isn't the answer to this question very subjective? Your "need" is different from what someone else's need is. Sometimes, your needs may be someone's wants. It differs from person to person. There are million reasons why people may want / need to use iPhone and as many reasons of not using it. I am using iPhone since 2012 and I don't like change, I always want the familiar device/UI I know so next phone for me (after 5-6 years of using my current iPhone) will be an iPhone.
Similarly, others may have their reasons. Not sure how you can decide what is need of a device for someone else.

Sorry, if my post offended you or anybody. Of course I can't decide for others. But human needs are usually similar, but the wants do differ.
I was using iPhones from 3G to 7 ( very briefly, lack of 3.5 mm TRS in) almost everyone around me use iPhones only.
The transition was easy ( Mac to Windows was way more difficult) Android and iOS IMHO practically feels same to me nowadays.
Of course I can't decide for others. But don't you think it's slightly ridiculous to buy an iPhone in India, considering the price? ( 700-800 EUR for iPhone 11!! Isn't it kind of ridiculous? Sure, who am I to decide for others? In a country where people still buy phones on EMI!!)

Another subjective thing here. If someone is buying iPhone even when it is expensive, it is their call. Also fortunately, for me, I never bought my iPhone in India because both the times I was in US (when I got 4S first and then 6S). In fact, I got 6S for free (there is a big show off thread from me from back in 2015). Also I don't buy phone on EMI (but won't hesitate to buy on EMI if I got no cost option).
I am not at all offended. I don't care what you or anyone else uses. I like to use iPhone. Period. I am not in the show off bracket who buy for brag value. I genuinely love using it and if I wanted to brag, I would have got latest and greatest and won't have been using a 5+ years old 6S even today and apple watch which is now 3.5 years old.

Buddy, I didn't mean you!!
Sure, it's difficult to leave a platform after years of use. I surely do understand your point.
Even if anyone thinks iPhone is bragging worthy, it's his/ her perspective..I/ you/ anybody shouldn't judge the person.
But I am still genuinely shocked by Apple's pricing in India.
I would have continued to use iPhones and Macs forever if they didn't remove the ports and 3.5mm out and introduce the notch but not in India.

I am completely with you on their pricing and I hate Apple for stuff like removing charger and earpods from box. Nickel and diming for everything, $200 extra for more 8GB RAM. I am not a sheep. But you also would probably agree that once we are in apple ecosystem, it is very difficult to leave. I know if I have the will, I can too leave it but their tight integration makes things so seamless when using multiple apple products.

That ecosystem man!! It saved my ass thousand times.
But breaking that habit has made me more organized. Now if I need to make a presentation, I take out a laptop..like a normal person.

Yeah being an Android user since almost the beginning i do see why iPhones are like significantly better value for money than them Samsung garbage out there. In fact, i paid quite a lot more behind Galaxies (and other android devices) from 2010 than i would have paid for iPhones, because nobody needs to upgrade their iPhones every year because they start insanely lagging after few weeks of usage or that they will stop providing updates after a year or two. All these before looking at the fact the app quality is invariably better on iOS compared to Android. If Google actually called for Pixels in respect to quality control especially along with availability and after sales then i would probably not care for iPhones but as that's not the case there's nothing for me in Android world. Using anything other than vanilla Android is a comical proposition for me.

Nutshell is, by paying premium for iPhone once you are going to save a lot in long term.

It is simply for the user experience and privacy. Not many would care, but I just love the fact that I can run every app after denying every permission. Also, the manual app approval and curation results in a much better ecosystem.

The strict style guide and user interface requirements mean that every app is consistent in behaviour unlike Android apps which use the lowest supported APIs and outdated design guidelines, simply because the developers need to cater to the lowest denominator to be supported on as many devices as possible. It doesn't help that Android developers know that they have to mostly rely on ad revenue rather than purchases like on iOS and are thus less bothered to tune and optimise their apps. You can see the effort put in by developers on iOS because they know they will be rewarded for going the extra mile.

If you appreciate the finer details, then iOS is worth it, if you don't pay too much for it. Getting the SE 2020 for 23k made it really easy for me to switch to iOS again without a second thought but if I get a more expensive iPhone, I will probably hold on to it much longer than I would an Android phone, especially with 5+ years of software support.

Not many would care about that ecosystem!!??
That's the whole point of using iphone with Mac.
If you haven't used iOS with their computer OS ( is it OS XI now?) you are missing out a LOT!! It's Apple ecosystem not iOS ecosystem.
I'm fully aware that similar things can be done with Android and Windows 10 but the procedure is not seamless like Apple.
Never really understood what's the deal with this vanilla android thing. Is it AOSP or the Pixel ROM ? AOSP is rubbish, it's just a barebone OS with a dialer, text and a completely retarded camera ( snap cam?) app.
Pixel is definitely not AOSP, it's much more than that.
And what's this number thing below each post?

Exactly. Managing privacy and permissions on iOS is simple and straight forward and once set, it stays that way. In android, some apps won’t work unless they get permission for location, contacts, camera etc. and moreover some apps will change system settings and that has to be separately controlled.

also lot of apps access or sneak around the Android OS and try to get cookies, clipboard data, most contacted info, etc.

I would add that when it comes to privacy atleast, Apple is some stages ahead of the competition. But then again, these are apps specific. What your phone does in spare time is not clear.

Apple and Facebook trade accusations over data privacy

Technology groups locked in stand-off as they face antitrust scrutiny from regulators

Late on Thursday, Facebook released its own scathing statement that highlighted a number of privacy concerns about Apple’s business and called the iPhone maker’s letter a deliberate “distraction” from those issues. It also claimed Apple was “using their dominant market position to self-preference their own data collection while making it nearly impossible for their competitors to use the same data”. Recommended Inside BusinessRichard Waters The rush to constrain the power of Amazon, Apple, Facebook and Google “They claim it’s about privacy, but it’s about profit,” Facebook said. “We are not fooled. This is all part of a transformation of Apple’s business away from innovative hardware products to data-driven software and media.”
