I am buying a used GPU via reddit sub r/IndianGaming. Kindly share Do's and Don'ts I should follow to minimize my chances of being scammed.

Till now the seller has sent me pictures of the GPU and its Invoice. He bought it from Amazon last July and orignal seller was Vedant Computers. I have asked the seller to share the video of the GPU working in the system, he is supposed to reply in next 10 minutes.

ask him to run furmark with msi afterburner, check the fan speeds and temps too
Just did. He sent me the video of GPU in cabinet and fans running thats all.

Should I ask him to put it here? Will this work? Should I pay him in one go or 50/50 or 60/40?

Sorry for questions as this is my 1st time buying a used item, leave alone a PC component.

Why GPU used in mining is a bad thing?
Well from what I know, if the GPU was undervolted then its not a bad thing except for some wear and tear. But I don't expect our desi miners to be that well informed about underclocking and fan curves.

price too good to be true! maybe he was trying to scam someone
I don't think so.. he had a RTX3090 + Lian Li O11 build which he did sell to someone. This RX580 was lying unused in his second build, as he said.

He did share Bill, Video of GPU, video of furmark etc. and didn't sell to me right away even when I was ready to make payment as he wanted to sell all the components in one go. Reason for selling was that he is shifting abroad.
