Dominoes data breach

Actually they've become quite regular now. You just don't know about them.
LinkedIn, Bigbasket, Air India, Dominoes are just some of the prominent ones.

So you are expecting breaches on a weekly basis so that such suggestions should count. If that's the case there are still very meaningful sub-sections which can be formed.
Anyways, not my concern you may reach out to mods.

Breaches and data leaks won't happen according to your expectations. They are bound to happen irrespective of what you or anyone else expects until these cos. decide to do something about them.
I never asked to make a subsection. I just want people should be made aware of them.
The breach that @roygarg mentioned has put card details of a lot of people out in the public domain.

Guys, relax. My message was intended to be lightly humorous (I should have articulated it better with a :)) The suggestion comes at the time where leaks/breaches have become part of everyday news.

Why are you not sure?. They are breaches. with you phone they can now identify the work or home location.
I don't want to sound like a conspiracy theorist but I feel data is sold then called as a breach and then they publicly admit (what honest company eh wah .. atleast they admitted .. I'll still buy Domino's Pizza because they're at least honest) and both parties make money later. Janta eats pizza forgets everything next day. Bau for everyone.

Data doesn’t need to be sold to classify it as a breach. for normal/ most people, it’s not gonna matter as you said.

You atleast got the message
Also the Mobikwik breach recently that leaked a lot of sensitive info. They simply denied the leak and moved on.
Just bau for so many elites who've done the same in the past since ages.
Are schezwan and schewan different? :|
I've never had any btw.
Similarity is both are equally hard to pronounce and chicks love using this word in their grammer nazi debates to correct us poor happy geeks. I might've had it don't recall/know as I habitually avoid fancy food items.

What can possibly be done with that data you think?

lets say you work in tech or another company which is data sensitive. Hackers can identify where you work from the work location and target you with phishing, etc. Now instead of sending bulk mails, they can send sophisticated mails tailored for you which will make you believe that its a genuine email, etc. and increase the chances of harvesting credentials of your personal/ corporate logins.

Ok. You think you'll become a phishing victim?

If your identity is stolen, the damage is already done. Yes, data breaches will happen and in this case it may not impact you. But imagine something like the Equifax data breach.
