Laptop for son in class 12

Friends, I need a windows laptop for my son in class 12th.
Very basic needs like running zoom, browsing web but need excellent battery life and preferably, lightweight.
Can you suggest a good deal ?

My son in 1st Yr college is using a HP 15 series laptop with similar specs. These days the laptops for students are primarily used at homes and mobility is not required, thus I prefer 15" for less strain on eyes.

How does core i3/i5 series fare compared to Ryzen 3/5 series for battery life ?

AMD Ryzen performs better AND provides better battery life than any Intel Core models, especially in lower priced models (50k and below, but often above 50k as well).
 
Have you considered a chromebook.
Extremely basic, excellent battery life (10 hrs+), can you android apps (most of them) and around 20k budget. 4GB ram and Celeron will work just fine for a chromebook. Might even get touch screen.
Check out HP chromebooks or even Lenovo Chromebook duet.
