The "Everyday" show-off thread !

Me after building my rig: "This should last me at least for 4 years"
One month later: "I think I should upgrade my mobo"

The never ending cycle of upgrade...
Haha
Same story everywhere
I think the CPU might last 4years, my 3080ti might not. :)

I mean this upgrade addiction is very real. I didn't even have a desktop PC until a year ago. And now when I do, I just keep upgrading components every month. And I'm never satisfied.
After upgrading each component I automatically target the next component to upgrade.
And the funny thing is, I don't even need the PC except for some causal gaming

GPU goes upto 400w in the software
And CPU 160w observed. plus
Some fans , some pumps, some LED's
750 is more than sufficient in that case. 350w for GPU, at max 150w for cpu.

Optimum Tech ran a 3080 + liquid cooled overclocked 10900k on an sf600 and it ran perfectly fine.

Rest is insignificant!

Yes, I have gone and outdone my self and picked up a 5950x, intent to use it in a NR200, really not sure about the cooling, leaning towards the Arctic Freezer 2 280mm and the Asus Rog B550 strix. I am shitting bricks here. Currently running 2700x with GTX 3080 and SF 600 gold.

I have a 3090 and max I see are 380-390W transients. Those are perfectly fine - any decent quality psu can handle the same. I haven't seen my 5950x go anywhere near 160w. Still - if you include 400+160, you are still hitting 560. Add another 100 and you should be absolutely fine with a platinum rated 750w.

This 160w was seen in afterburner.
Everything in the BIOS was on default even without PBO. The 5800x was auto overclocking. It was on a quad 120 and sat at a toasty 92'C.

The coolermaster SFX is actually tier 1. Superb psu other than the fan issue.
V850 SFX has been doing duty in NR200 since March with 3080 and 5600x, haven't encountered any issues as such. Might have to look closely and get it replaced.

The next gen RTX4XXX is a power hog they say. Rumours suggest they are twice as powerful as the 3090 and can take upto a whopping 550w. Salt your pinch
