Budget 51-70k will laptop prices fall ?

Definitely, the mentality of people and behavior is way way better.People are not so full of themselves unlike india.

Imo this year flipkart and amazon had legit discounts on laptopts. Rog laptops which go for 75k+ were to be had for 60k and even lower with cc cards
A benchmark every year during the sale is the Acer Helios 300 with 60-series GPU. In the past years, you had the 1060, 1660 and 2060 priced at 1L before bank discounts. This year it was the 3050Ti.

Every industry insider is speaking of shortages extending to 2023, so don't think anyone has any incentive to lower prices, unless they are dumping old stock.

building a pc would be much better at that price lol. Anyways ended up buying something for a deep discount that too offline at reliance digital due to price match with amazon.

Why I call them "fake sales" is because most of these electronic items are already at a premium price because of our tax regime. Added to that, when the ecomm companies announce a sale they make it dependent on credit cards. A "true" sale should be independent of credit cards and a price slash for one and all irrespective of whether I own a credit card or not. However, you're perfectly entitled to your opinion and if you feel that the sale was a good one, you're most welcome to feel that way.

in the past i would have agreed but only and only this year i feel there were legit discounts,i compared with various big retailers like reliance, vijay sales etc here in mumbai and even with small lamington road sellers before the sale began. the sale prices were much much lower and discount for the first time since 2015 i felt were genuine online and that too without taking in credit/debit card offers in consideration. Taxation this is a whole different story.

For games like cs 1.6 and csgo, does gaming desktop have any significant advantage over gaming laptops apart from larger display?
and how much is the difference if desktop is with 18-19” monitor as compared to a 17.3 inch laptop? Any fps gamers here that can throw some light?
Desktops used to be better when i gave up gaming 6-7 years ago. How is the equation these days with all these latest laptops with high refresh rates?

Premium prices due to taxes is not a manufacturer issue. The prices do come down a bit during the sales but if you add taxes to US prices, you end up around the sale prices.

The card offers simply make it better and it is again possible due to the marketing practices of the bank who see these sales as big banner events to promote their bank. Missing out due to not owning that bank's card is not anyone else's problem as the banks are specifically doing this to get you to apply for their card.

Thanks for the detailed explanation but my point is simply that as a consumer, I don't think these are the best possible sales for me because of the reasons I mentioned above. As you have said above, the banks and manufacturers are looking out for themselves and I as a consumer am looking out for myself. I rest my case.
