I have a question, may be unrelated to this topic. Few years ago CS Go became free, somewhere or everywhere, I can't recall. So I downloaded it and was able to play on all servers, domestic and international. But I took a break from it for over a year and now when I install it back, through Steam of course, it asks for Prime subscription which is like 1400. So is this something new, or did I download Go from somewhere else other than Steam back then?
This update changed differences between free to play and prime upgrade.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) expands upon the team-based action gameplay that it pioneered when it launched in 1999.
Before that you could grind to level 21 and get a free prime upgrade. But now that’s not possible any more. Now no xp, no ranked etc for free players.
'CS:GO' ranked matches are no longer free-to-play
A newly rolled out CS:GO update removes your capability to access Prime matchmaking for free.

Same here. I tried through web browser, was able to reach today's free game( Second Extinction) but the GET button never loaded.

Had some issue on firefox on sunday. Was able to process it from Chrome. Then signed out and relogged in firefox and was able to collect it from monday on firefox
