Monitors Monitor Buying Advice

Hello Sers,
How do you know/check what's the best resolution and refresh rate your setup supports?
I currently have a 3070 paired with 13600kf and I believe I can do 2k even 4k but not sure at what refresh rate.
Would love some recommendations as well.

1440p 144hz monitors are relatively cheap and are usually the sweet spot for most people.
3070 will do 1440p 60 fps to 90fps in most games. you can use this video or any benchmarking videos on youtube as a reference.

Even though 3070 has "just" 8GB VRAM, its still a potent 1440p gaming GPU. As a 3070 owner myself, get a 1440p monitor. For new buyers, 3070 makes no sense to buy now, get the cheaper 6700XT instead.

Acer XV272U KV is a good value for money choice.

Mainly got it for the CUDA cores but yeah. Thanks for the recommendation.

with 3070, you can easily hit the sweet spot of 1440p@120hz with most games, given they are not badly optimized for pc.
as someone else suggested, Acer XV272U KV is the best vfm currently, if you dont care about hdr stuff

3070 might not give you high refresh at 1440p sadly. i've hit the VRAM limit in a few games.
If you expect to play CP 2077 at 1440p ultra at 120fps, then 3070 is surely not sufficient, even 3090 won't be. I think I ran it at 1440p high for 70+fps on my 3070 PC. I'll prefer playing an SP game at 1440p 70-80fps over playing it at 1080p 100+fps. For such expectations. 3070 is good enough.

Hogwarts Legacy & TLOU 1 haven't been easy on VRAM for sure.
