affordable good place to live in india

I have a friend who lives in Dharamshala cheap with good internet working for OpenAI before that Microsoft remotely. even during winters but i know people who move down south during winters. cost of living is cheap good air quality surrounded by mountains. there are lot of options now where you can rent a room cheap for working.
These guys are called Digital Nomads. Recently local media was also saying about the same like going to Dharmashala, Shimla or Ooty and work from there.

I'm not sure why Ahmedabad is recommended so heavily to a young bachelor guy. Tons of housing discrimination and the local culture also tends to be extremely family-oriented. I've spent a few years in Surat and Ahmedabad and felt very out of place.

Also wouldn't inflict Gujarati food on anyone.

Andaman & Nicobar, Lakshwadeep are beautiful places but in times of trouble you are stuck on an island. Remember Corona. Also
Forget about good speed Internet. Power Cuts. Not suited for WFH.
BSNL FTTH is giving great plans in Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

Since I am using BSNL FTTH in my township in TN, Chengalpattu Dist it's okay to take it.
There is Port Blair and islands like Car Nicobar, Campbell Bay, Long Island, Rangat & Havelock Island for privacy.
BSNL has completed laying of under sea optical fibre cable by 2020 and is offering upto 300mbps in A&N.
I went there for a vacation and the islands and beaches are very clean while traffic is controlled very strictly by police wearing white uniforms.

Those who come for their duties in Port Blair go back to their respective islands by a ferry by evening and there isn't any current cuts also in the islands. We went in peak summer though.

The islands are powered by Hydro Electric dam electricity and diesel generater electricity.

Islands are cool, peaceful and serene and people mainly comprise of Tamil, Telugu, Bengali and Hindi languages.

For commuting to mainland India , everyday flights to Chennai, Vizag and Kolkata exists and by ship to chennai, Vizag and Kolkata exists.

Islands have different culture, hospital facilities are not that easy, etc. Visiting and enjoying few days are fine, permanent stay is tough.
Don't go south... Nowdays lots of problem for non south speaking people.. better move within your state or nearby state mid tier town
Same happened earlier in Mumbai, still ongoing.
It's better for south if north Indians avoid that region, tons of problems by north Indians in some regions of south.

I am currently living in a village with my parents in Bihar. I want to move out and this is the hardest part as an introvert. there is also a thing that we are poor so can't afford living in big city. I want to move to a better and affordable place with proper broadband connectivity to work as a freelancer.

i think i am enjoying the comfort of the home but it also seems to negatively affect the work i do. i feel anxious just with a thought of moving out. and the other concern is that it i might not feel good living in a rented house.

I don't know how to simplify these concerns. the environment seems preventing the growth i want to be in. Like the daily routine, vocabulary, language, we use here and what i need to use with international clients. i feel stuck.

Lifestyle:
Veg, minor milk products in a week or every fortnight.
Friends: 0.
Work: Freelance Designer.

i don't expect a lot of things, just organic veg food, water, internet and a small place to live.

please guide.
Since you're wfh, Indore would be a nice place. Not that expensive, has all the city benefits, and not the furthest from hometown. If luck's on your side, you'll get nice neighbors too!

Agreed. A family member and some of the guys I knew went to Kerala for studies/work and ended up getting married. Now, they have created lots of problems which keep on eating, growing and yelling 24x7.

Violent crimes of all types which are newly introduced by these people is overbearing.
Damn! I too have been victimised since I have had to shell out quite a bit of money for gifts for these little nuisances.

Only silver lining is that my Marathi gf is an arts student and I make her pay for a lot of dates by mentioning her relatively higher state gdp.

Out of genuine curiosity, since I had lived in Maharashtra for 5+ years, at one point, why the sudden language-related upsurge in MH, as of late? It wasn't nearly as prevalent until recently. Happy to be educated :cat:

I'll say the trend is rather opposite. Marathi are getting better and better at multiculturalism.

There used to be a time when local parties wouldn't let northerners hold chhat pujas. This is not a case anymore. There are many more such examples. And, those local parties who objected to everything, are not in the power rather they are not in the power to get back in the power.

That upsurge, you noticed, might just be some social media glorification.
you will need GST for export outside, state and country+ IEC certificate too. In GST you will need to file LUT too.
And you export web designing services? I still don't understand why you need GST, IEC.

There's something I'm missing.

I had GST, which was cancelled around 2020. I think my IEC is still valid. Dunno, don't need it anymore. But none of that is required for the things you do.
