Talking about green cover, I came across this shocking news yesterday. The average of maximum temp for March months in Pune has been rising almost linearly last decade. I'm talking about averages (so not the flukes)

The change is tangible, it's not news to us. Moreover, we didn't have winter this year.

This news got me wondering about Indian cities. Are they warming too? So I ran a deep research.

These are all average of max for March months

The numbers for Pune are accurate. I didn't verify sources for other cities.

Let's presume that these numbers are accurate.

That crap part is changing, though.
its not ; )
An LLM is one part of the equation. I was not talking about LLM as just a glorified auto-complete.

Today, an autonomous AI agent can create a basic tool, app, game, site, video with just a prompt. That includes architecture, coding, testing, and even publishing.
let's just agree to disagree ; ) for hobbyists or amateurs dipping their feet in tech, its good, for any professional relying on it entirely and for business needs? yea no.
If AI was a person, I'll say it's only in the second year of engineering. We will see it's evolution.
unless there's some breakthrough and an entirely new architecture is designed from scratch, it wont, I cant explain it to you even when dumbing it down without technical terms, but essentially, it can only copy or "mimic", it cant "think" on its own, thats why for basic stuff it works well.
E-way bill is one example. Can you provide more? Something that got spectacularly better? With time, everything was supposed to get streamlined, regardless what party is in the Govt.
I already did, transportation, do you remember the quality of roads pre-2014? I absolutely do, I remember our trucks getting stuck outside city borders till 12 at night, and then only getting a short window to pass through the city and if in peak season, sometimes not even making it because of traffic, I remember we having to bribe cops for entry despite entry being opened at night for trucks, There were no highways back then, transports took almost twice the time currently in some cases, roads were crap, and most were just singe/double lanes. I can go on and on about roads in NCR/UP/Madhya Pradesh and some parts of Bihar/Punjab/Kolkata which is were we primarily supply. and if you think this is not enough then think again.
In the VAT era, I was filing one return every six months and when it became GST, I found myself filing 4 returns every month. Back then, I had programmed my solution for reconciliation, and it worked a treat during VAT. When GST arrived, nobody knew what was what. It was chaos. I was adjusting/refactoring my solution every week to match new norms. I had no bandwidth left to do any actual business.
yep, even we faced issues, migrations pains are going to be there specially with something as corrupt and useless as indian babus, but these days its a breeze for us, not sure about others.

Yeah. It was much better. At least in my area.

There's a reason why people are buying SUV these days. Sedans are dying.

No need to dumb it down.

Let's agree to disagree.

If what you say is true, then there won't be any dearth of IT jobs.

There is no future in India. Why?

1. Reservation - The system mocks merits, hate people with intelligence and prioritize people with no skill. It is just funny/tragic to see student with 90% fails but 20% pass and get a job.
2. Corruption - from Top level to bottom in every sector, corruption is running like parasites.
3. Education - Education in India is null.
4. Healthcare - Poor healthcare, nothing for taxpayers.
5. High Triple taxation - upto 60% taxes goes to government directly and indirectly which they use to give freebies, make their own villas and do everything to be remain in power. Highly mental abuse and trauma for taxpayers.
6. Corrupt Government - The government of any, just not want to do anything. they just want to remain in power. anyhow.
7. -100% civic sense - Indians have -100% ultra pro civic sense.
9. Job Security - It prevents any of gov sector person working effeciently.
10. illegal aliens - with heavy population in itself, illegal aliens are abusing resources of India making it poor each day.
11. Infrastructure - we do have enough people and resources to develop make in India products but you can't when you hire someone with zero iq in different quota.
12. ease of doing business - it is just hard. no motivation when there is lot of compliances, gst compliances, you waste a huge part of time just filing these fking documents instead of actually putting energy in work. GST offices sends notices and ask for bribery to settle things, yes they do.
13. Law & courts - it is for powerful people. people with money and powers win. it is not the option to get justice in India. Just look a the false 498A cases or someone was asked to write essay for k#ing in road accident.
14. Internet / Broadband - Reliable internet connects people. it opens the doors of opportunities and make a country grow. The government can't even have a reliable broadband that they can offer us. Look at the BSNL site. Just look and see the changes and growth. Just go to BSNL exchange and check their services. Just buy bsnl broadband and check how reliable their service is.

Name a single service offered by government that can be rated atleast 4 out of 5. I see 1 or 2 or even 0 in some sector.

All 4 pillars of democracy are broken, untrustable. not a single person you will ask will say that they trust it. they can say it on camera but in heart they all know how fishy things are there.

I have a lot of points to make and just a single question, why it is hard to just stop and think do what is absolutely right.

I will move abroad when i will have enough money or get a chance to. I do love India but people of the India are itself responsible for everything. I see my future is dark in India.

Pretty much sums up the issues.
We are unfortunately caught up in such bureaucratic, corrupt and reservation minded mess that we are losing our demographic dividend. More couples are deciding not to have kids with increasing cost of living, and few years down the line, we will slowly see geriatric and able bodies numbers meeting at the middle, with geriatric population overflowing those who can work.
Same as what's happening in Japan, Singapore etc. And we don't even have that level of per capita income.
Future belongs to manufacturing economy. Service economy will be served by AI overlords.
I have friends who started doing businesses in multiply sectors and simply gave up due to massive corruption for licenses etc. License raj is still alive and kicking.

People who mention reservation as a problem without mentioning the barbaric caste system should never be taken seriously. Eradicate caste, we wont need reservation at all, its that simple. How do you do that ? Inter-caste marriage. PERIOD

Simple example from personal experience - I sat for UP Medical exams way back in 2002 (2003?). Got high enough marks to get Dental admission at KGMC (now KGMU) but not MBBS.
Those were the times when results used to be published in newspapers, so you could see numbers of everyone who qualified.
Guys under SC/ST/OBC and freedom fighter quotas got into KGMC with negative marking! This was 2002.
Even then we had significant reservation FOR SC/ST/OBC/ women at premium institutions like AIIMS. Over the last 20 years, reservations have increased to an extent where you don't even get some specialities for general students. Last year AIIMS had ZERO seats in Radio for general students. Guy who got Rank 1 couldn't get into Radiology.
The direct effect is you are generating shit doctors all across the country.
Now extrapolate to other areas like civil engineering etc - and we see massive issues. Additional quotas for state citizenship have been bought in by parties to appease voters.
We just cannot compete with China or even Vietnam when core idealogy of governments and parties is to appease voters, not develop the nation.
Everything's running on taxing the high earners to max. How long can the government squeeze the juice? People will leave for greener pastures.
As someone said before, we pay European taxes for Somalian level of service.

The direct effect is you are generating shit doctors all across the country.
Highly doubt that without any evidence to back that claim. I'd even argue that this country even before reservation has shit doctors all across the country. Some even argue due to oppressive caste system without any merits has led to dumb undeserving cowards leading the charge and let every foreigner to conquer and rule over India for 100s of centuries. We are just trying to reverse the damages caused by such barbaric systems through reservation.

Also filthy rich people with low IQ Sons/daughters buy out seats in prestigious colleges & produce shit doctors/engineers/politicians etc and ruining the country's progress from becoming sooper powweeer !! A society of true meritocracy would never allow such low IQ people to inherit any wealth/prestigious college seats/become leaders/politicians, but here we are. Thts y people are leaving for greener pastures.

We just cannot compete with China or even Vietnam
Agreed, India shares border with them doesnt mean we can compare/compete with them on everything else. Someone even say South East asians has higher IQ on average and tend to find great success in all fields.

when core idealogy of governments and parties is to appease voters, not develop the nation.
The core ideology of our government is to stay in power by whatever means necessary.

Last year AIIMS had ZERO seats in Radio for general students. Guy who got Rank 1 couldn't get into Radiology.
Thts unfortunate, but talented people always leave the country anyway no matter if they get Radiology or not. Its the same trend across all nations.

If your Google 'techie working as uber driver news' more results come up.
