I used Androids from 2011 to 2021. Galaxy Y, S2, S3, S7, Galaxy J1Nokia 5.1 Plus, OnePlus 7.
Galaxy Y. Fine. Whatever. I would watch Pingu on YT at 240p. Good times.
Galaxy S2. Omg OLED. Wowsies.
Galaxy S3 was horrendous by the end. The WiFi died and I was paying ₹265 a month for 1GB of Airtel 3G. Bad times. i guess I shouldn't have tried to use a phone for 4 years at a time when year-on-year improvements were massive.
Galaxy S7. Love it. Still have it. Keep it around as my Android backup phone.
OnePlus 7. It was red in colour. Android 11 on it was a little buggy.
I switched to iOS in April 2021.
Got the M1 Air in Dec 2020 and influenced by my positive experience with it I decided to get the SE2020 in April 2021 (OnePlus 7, sadly became ill)
Do a lot more on the phone now. Calendar, Reminders, FaceTime, iCloud Shared Library, Find My, Shared Notes, iCloud Shared Folders, Universal Clipboard.
My phone's really become the sun around which my life revolves around.
However, iOS has presented its share of frustrations. The Photos app's single-folder structure is a major annoyance, and the sheer number of bugs I encountered was surprising. So many damn bugs. I posted about in an other
thread a weeks back.
That being said. I got a second iPhone in Feb 2025 (a family member was upgrading gave me the 13 128 in red). Maybe as
@Heisen pointed out maybe it's just my unit perhaps?
Turns out, the truth is somehwere in between. I do face a lot of bugs on my SE2020. But Apple forums, Reddit and the internet in general are full of people posting about various iOS bugs.
The 13 has been a lot better. A restart every couple of days, helps.
I have AirPods Pros as well, which switch seamlessly between my 3 devices.
I don't want to go back to Android and give up all these features.
Maybe I have developed stockholm syndrome ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯
