Does a UPS work without battery?

these batteries usually die upon overuse / fluctuative use scenarios.
The battery swells up, and has to be discarded.


However, the UPS does keep working, you can run it with some other battery, or best case, old car batteries.
Even I have one of this UPS, no battery, running off a car battery , working all great

However, seller must give a week testing period, to check the product on buyer's end, and replace / refund in case of issues.
