This or the Pixel 9 is a tough decision. I have the iPhone 13 and love using the Apple Watch. I really miss the astrophotography and higher refresh rate.

9 is better than base 16. Keep 13 for watch. Carry 9 and 13 both.
Mostly depends what you are comfortable with. One of my acquaintances just couldn’t put with the software on Pixel 9 with its bugginess and excessive permissions, so switched to an iPhone 16.
From a pure camera processing and AI perspective, the Pixel 9 is better.

If you've got an Apple Watch, you don't have much of an option but to stick with the 16. I went from a 13 Pro to a 16 and I'm quite happy with the decision. I do own a Pixel 7A, which I use at home for social media, and while I see the appeal of a Pixel phone and the Android OS, but the overall iOS experience is irreplaceable for me.
I think the biggest question would be, do you plan to keep your Apple Watch? If yes, your choice is clear as daylight.

The bad : Face unlock isnt as great as iPhones. It needs a good light on the face to unlock. Whatsapp locked chats become a pain in the A to unlock. Haptics are good but inferior to my 3 year old iPhone 13 in my opinion.
The good : Display is a big upgrade. Camera as well. Both are the main reasons that I did the switch.
I miss Apple Watch so still confused whether to keep iPhone 13 or sell it.
