This is a continuation of my thread on basic Privacy Setup on TE.

Many members came up with excellent app suggestions. Let me summarise everything daily and keep it updated along the way. Should be FREE and Open Source.

2FA - Ente
Adblocker - TrackerControl
Bookmarks - Raindrop
Browser - Brave , Iceraven , IronFox
DNS - NextDNS
Email - Proton , Tuta
Email Alias - Addy , Duck
Gallery - Fossify
Keyboard - Heliboard , Futo
Music Streaming - Harmony
Note taking - Logseq , SimpleNote
Password Manager - Bitwarden
Scanner - OSS Document Scanner
Signal - Molly
Syncing - Syncthing

There's also aegis which is for 2fa, fennec for another Firefox fork, keepass for password manager and syncthing fork for syncthing
That's Syncthing fork in the hyperlink as Syncthing has stopped Android versions.

Aegis is okay for 2fa but I did not like the UI. Fennec is not active in development. Keepass is a pain to setup and backup.

Another FOSS apps thread ? I thought we already had a few. But keep em coming. The more awareness the better.

ShareviaHTTP - share anything locally with only a server, no client installs.
Keepass2offline - Paranoid so use this version. Manually sync databases across devices.
MJ PDF - Decent PDF reader.
Cromite - The continuation of Bromite
Material Files - File Browser
Netguard - Firewall
My Blocked - This one is not FOSS but it's a lifesaver for me. Helps manage my custom blocklist including export and import.

MuPdf- Lightweight pdf reader
Kreate- Yt music replacement. supports downloading songs offline.
Kreate is a new repo. Let's give it some time. Thanks for the suggestions. I'm downloading and testing.
If you are going FOSS then you must try Obtainium. No need to manually update the apps, specially from sources like GitHub or Gitlab.

Right. FDroid does the job too. i will add

Let me add this to the list after testing MJ and My Blocked. Rest of them are good. Thanks for the suggestions

My Blocked
This is no longer available in Playstore. You can get it here -
It's beginning to show its age so any alternative newer free app which does all of this is welcome.

Nice of you to try and maintain the OG list but do note that the post will become read-only after some time. You may need to ask a Mod if they allow you to edit when that happens.

Can you please mention a mod here. I am new and I don't know who to mention for the same. One list keeps things simple and straightforward

Been using Aves Gallery as my gallery app for a while now, it's pretty good at what it does.
Aves is cool. I will add to the list. Thanks! Fossify is kind of minimalistic. Aves can be more advanced.
@puns can you please enable the editing option for the first thread. I would like to add all suggested apps into the original thread itself and keep it updated. Thanks.

I would like to add these to the list:

1. Libretorrent - Always found it amazing
2. AppManager - for managing apps
3. FairEmail - My goto Email App
4. Arcane/Delta Chat - Private messaging (IFKYK)
5. LocalSend - The best cross platform filesharing app I know
6. ImageToolbox - The only image editing app you need
7. Blueline Console - My go to finder/Homescreen app
8. Bloome - for the occasional instances where I do listen to music
9. OONI Probe - for checking network censorship and performance
10. Zood Location - for family location sharing

Nice list! I have not used many of these except local send, image toolbox. Will add to the list EOD, if @puns let me edit the thread.

Aegis offers local encrypted backups and has a straightforward UI so I've just stuck to it for years.
Fennec f-droid repo still receives updates.
Although not as seamless as something like bitwarden, because its a local only model. You can use syncthing to transfer the file across multiple devices and keepass supports automatic backups. i use KeepassXC on PC and use keepassDX on android.

Nice. Will add them to the list. Thank you for suggestions.
