Not sure why its not a public issue yet, a colleague of mine just gave up on his life due to extreme work pressure. He used to work in Krutrim, and with 2 other guys leading a project(even after being a freshie). The other two guys left the company, so he was cramped up with work of the other two as well. I shouldn’t be taking names but this absolute shit of a manager Rajkiran Panuganti has no real clue how to man manage people. He just attends the calls, bashes people left, right and center and disappears since he lives in US and most workforce is here in Bangalore. The words used in meetings, especially against freshers, its just traumatic. Having not delivered a single product even after a year of joining Krutrim, he is just taking it all out on people. Even after this shocking incident, there has been no behavioural change in people there. I heard other team members saying if they stay anymore here, they are going to end up doing the same. The authorities are trying their best to shut down the news. Its pathetic to be honest. Hope this blows up and police takes strict action. Edit: All Indian Companies, not just tech. Even small medium business owners here have this attitude as if they own us.

One decision I took in life is that I will never work in an Indian Company even if they pay me double because of some past harrowing experiences.

Micromanagement is the Indian style. My experience has been is that smaller family owned companies take care care of their employees. The atmosphere is good and the employees enjoy the work. But as soon as the company expands and brings in an external CEO and tries to imbibe the corporate culture everything goes downhill. The HR is just there to cover the company's a*s and not for the employee.. A pleasant working atmosphere transforms into a toxic workplace..

There will be others out there which are as bad as OLA but not reported. When you get millions of funding, your execs live a luxurious lifestyle while your company has problems trying to put out one good MVP and is no close to being profitable then shit like this happens especially due to investors push for IPO and in turn company departmental heads put the intense pressure on their workers. Things get worse when they cut the workforce to cut down "expenses" and remain afloat with their limited cash in bank. Probably the worst one of the lot, there is no proper rules and laws to fight these.

My present manager is an Indian. Dude is pretty chill. While yes, we can have bad managers in mnc’s, the bad culture doesn’t flow through the entire Company. In Indian Companies it is top down. Pressure and inefficiencies flow from the top. Policies are for record only.

Consulting MNC are just as bad if not worse, I don't think you can use a general term of all MNC being better than Indian companies.
 
It totally depends on the team and the managers. Although OLA anyways doesn't have a good repo from the start itself be it in any division. OLA name itself triggers me xD
 
My sister from Canada joined a software company owned by russian while many Indians used to work from top level, middle level and as software engineers.
My sister and a group of software engineers were inducted in a scam where a middle level indian manager did a Quid Pro Quo with others at his level and got my sister & other engineers involved in it.
The company is a govt funded and privately owned which used to develop classified tech.
My sister got the help of an attorney and later joined another company. This was in 2018.
The pay now is lower than the previous one and the perks also are non existent now.
