So I booked a courier delivery through Porter (same city delivery). Used my pre-paid wallet. The driver partner accepted the trip, started the trip to the destination, but did not arrive at my location, and marked the trip as complete immediately afterward. All of this within a minute. The amount was deducted from my wallet as a result.

Now, I raised a callback request on the app. Any call coming from them gets disconnected the moment I answer (they are whitelisted, to be clear). I cannot even start a chat conversation with them due to this, as I would keep getting this message: "Your previous request is still processing." WTF.

He never picked up the package. Started the trip to the destination, and marked it as complete, immediately after, thus deducting the courier fees from my wallet.

As for the courier, which was to be sent - a keyboard.

This happened with me plenty of times but the customer service has always been helpful. They try to do a conference call with the driver and if he doesn't pick up. They credit me back the wallet money.

Thankfully in this case, it isn't the amount that is of concern, just the modus operandi of a few driver partners. Porter got In touch, and immediately refunded the amount.

So for any similar incidents with popular apps, related to only driver partners, let's keep this thread as a source of awareness.

I was thinking you were in a jam and that your item went missing. I've no idea how you would fix that

Amazed someone figured out a way to cheat the service.
