Can someone explain what's TV client and non-tv client..
In which group these fall into - Native Netflix app on TV, and the Netflix app on apple TV, fire stick, nvidea shield, mi tv stick etc..

All your examples are TV clients. Non TV are phone and laptop.

You can't. My family (in different locations) just gave up and all bought the 199 plan.

You could run tailscale exit node or something similar if it is for trusted users like family and friends. Not ideal but should work.

It only checks the public wifi afaik so I don't see how that can get blocked. Did you verify if all devices had the same ip?

Yepp, all device have same IP. Even try to uninstall and re login.

It most likely isn't as simple as public IP. My guess is some sort of unique device ID is checked which is independent of public IP.

Well I don't see what else they could check. Maybe stuff like GPS data but it shouldn't have access to those in the first place so public IP seems to be the only option to me. People have definitely made it work before, maybe things changed but will see if I can test it with my brother's account if I am free. I prefer Jellyfin over those 10 different succubus services lol.
