did any of us ask for translation of Hindi in so many memes in Daily meme thread?

I can understand Hindi, little bit of Tamil also if I hear it, but sometimes loses full clarity on both.
Some memes and jokes are focused on nuances of language and cultures, so explaining that will be difficult. I understand that.

Have no problem with either Hindi or Tamil, only that don't like it when one language is forced on everyone else. And that happens only because of nasty side of Indian politics.

Nobody invented problems here, I've no problem seeing Tamil memes, only just wished to understand it better. Now, what's your problem with it ?

Fun part is many who keep shouting " Tamil " on top of their lungs cannot even pronounce a few sentences properly . People from other linguistic mother tongues like Telugu , Malayalam have mastered Tamil much better than the average Tamil who thinks whose only purpose in life is defending Tamil , proving it as the oldest language and claims of it being superior ,while not actually mastering the language or acquiring the skills for the lanugage .

Then please allow me to change my opinion in the light of the above fact . To stop the decline of regional languages we need to create not just Tamil , but other regional language threads in TE .

lol. laughing at fools in this thread, No one spoke of "tamil pride" here. I often debate with linguistic superiority guys on X or FB, who are all against BJP and pro DMK.. who spoke about Tamil superiority / identity here?. if you can have occasional hindi memes, I can have occasional tamil memes. I created a separate thread because this cant be translated as well and did not want to confuse larger audience . I came to know of "Daily memes" thread only by reading the responses here.

We already have a common meme thread where people from all background post stuff. This looks like a discrimination thread like a space for south indians specifically tamilians. A forum should be open and fair with no caste and language barriers.
Looking at this thread other members might follow the trend and create their own closed threads like biharis, bhojpuri, hindi, punjabi etc. Not good for the integrity of the forum.

You do know you can use Google lens to translate what is being said :

Won't that lead to kind of compartmentalization or self interested closed loops ?
Making those memes mainstream and more meaningful will add to the reach of meme together with language acceptance.

Yes , I am already imagining posts like those rental or real estate property to let boards where the advertisement runs " To let only for Brahmins /Hindus /Muslims etc . It would be funny especially on the WTS or WTB posts .
Rather it should be like the day when a kid turns 18 and can decide on whom to marry without any consideration towards any sort of bias .
So , now we decide that Stalin is stupid ?

there are memes with occasional Hindi in Daily memes thread. Have anyone complained? This thread is not even that active. randomly 2-3 ppl post here in 6 months. ppl complain out of nothing. @Tobikage @ashish

Don't know what you mean ? Not interested in calling anyone stupid, but can say forcing one language into a diverse country with huge population is stupid, that is all. It tires out people, did more to disintegration than integration after spending hundreds of millions on that for decades.

Well, I was pulling your leg . But he really is stupid and the people who believe his outrageous claims of Hindi imposition need to know that the joke has gone beyond stale . He is trying to cling on to power using the emotion that comes with the language for most of the population in TN though 40 % of them in TN are not Tamils . It would be actually 50-60 % if we count the minority who call themselves Tamil .
The meme or the fun part is that these 40-60% of the groups are the ones who are very vocal against Hindi imposition but their mother tongue is not Tamil .

That does not negate the fact that Hindi is being imposed on everyone.
Politicians does politics, so him talking about language of his state is not any emotional blackmail.
It is just that people in the southern region is fatigued about issues.

The whole thing is not even about language alone. Central govt. funds to south Indian states are also treated the same way.
Perform and perish while feeding the never ending appetite of perceptually sick states all the while these derelict people rule those who fund them.
Not interested in nuances and complexities of memes and your logic, just wanted to put things straight.
Am out of this discussion which does not make any sense, the logic where you spin the coin anyways but only one side wins.

It's a HARMLESS meme thread for fellow members who are more comfortable sharing relatable jokes. Don't like it? Ignore and move on. No two ways about it.

There is NO discrimination at play here.
