problem with ipod dock logitech mm50.

i'm having ipod doc-Logitech mm50.

The sound is superb while connectign to ipod, but whenever i'm connecting it to lappy or pc through 3.5" male to male cable the sound is awful.

I thought may be cable is not good so bought another branded from reliance store at that time but still sound is not good at all(sound is very low).

Please suggest what is the problem. Is it because of cable or the product itself.

Also its battery is becoming old and need to be replaced. i could not able to find in google how to replace it with new. let me know from where i can get new ones.

My only gripe with the MM50 is that Logitech does not make a replacement battery for the unit. Mine died and after searching extensively I finally found a site that sells the NTA2335 battery for the MM50:
