    AMD Athlon64 4000+ ASUS A8n-e + 512MB DDR

    All the benchmarks posted above make use of the second core hence the results. The 4000+ will be faster in things that cant use the second core(thats obvious too) eg older games n stuff. If u want an upgrade from a x2 3800+, theres no point shifting back to a single core.

    Yup the processor is socket939. It is faster than the x2 3800 in general except for dual core optimized apps.
