Sometimes the battery itself is faulty due to long storage without any use . Replace with another/ new battery. You can contact "Lenovo' for warranty replacements

Check the power supply first. If the power supply is through a separate adopter, then you can change the adopter & try. Otherwise, the inbuilt transformer has to be checked first

Are you sure that only the PCB is damaged?

Really loved the post.! By the way, where is the machine available? in mumbai?? I heard that in laptop services, major failures are of graphic chips & reflowing/ reballing is done to rectify the same. Thanks for posting!

what are the books?

as per samsung VESA wall mount is supported. Normally once you connect cables threre will be hardly any need to remove it. Im not recommending buying a samsung from ebay. Then again you have to compromise somewhere.
