I had already shared with you earlier that there were only two options; road or air [high cost]

As a matter of principle, it isn't right to back out in this manner after the seller has already taken the trouble to ship it to you. I'm sure you were informed that the mode of delivery would be surface, prior to shipping. Surface always takes time.
