Hindi Series Discuss (neflix, amazon prime, youtube, etc.)

Showtime - 5/10

An average bollywood filmi-drama kind of show. Emraan Hashmi's acting felt so one dimensional for the most of the show but Mahima Makwana was great. I'm sure this girl will get good work in other shows as well.

My rating 6/10 , hope season 2 is good as well.
Better then Mirzapur

Brinda - 5/10
(Dubbed - Hindi)

The show starts off well with a mysterious plot but then as the story pans out it becomes kind of a drag. Seeped in a religious and illogical plot this gets rather tedious and inconsistent towards the end. Trisha Krishnan's acting seems too cold and lacks punch. There is an emotional sequence in the final episode where Trisha and another character meet but the scene feels flat because of poor acting.

I would say watch something else, this isn't really worth your time if you have other shows to catch up on.

Dus June Ki Raat - 3/10

Started off with a fun murder mystery but then roller coasts itself down the track to a crass, poorly written and directed pile of trash. In the end this should have been kept under 5 episodes but goes on for 12 episodes sucking 6 precious hours of your otherwise amazing life before leaving you on a cliff with a promise of a second season.

I would rather jump off that cliff the show leaves you on than watching Season 2!

Gyaarah Gyaarah (2024) - 7/10

A well made and taught thriller. This is a remake of a Korean show called 'Signal' which I haven't watched. Raghav Juyal's acting is solid and in stark contrast to his role in the movie Kill where he played the role of a cruel and violent antagonist.

can watch with younger children & family?

Any one please post some comedy movies in Hindi or Hindi Dubbed, but be sure not to have Adult Scenes or extra murders etc. etc... looking for just pure laugh & time pass movies.

IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack - 6/10

Decently made show. They definitely put together a stellar cast for this and it was great to see familiar faces back on the screen from the 90's again. Arvind Swamy took me right back to memories of Roja. Acting isn't superb but it's definitely watchable. One can definitely argue with a power packed cast it could have been better though.

I was in high school when this hijacking happened at the end of 1999 and we used to be glued to the TV for keeping track of the incident.

Any idea what happened to series Guns and Thighs from Ram Gopalji Verma?
Says released by imdb, cannot find anywhere

Found trailer here if anyone missed https://www.facebook.com/share/v/8byGB346RQJLHPub/?mibextid=Mk4v2M

Even I can't find a single OTT platform or site that carries this show for streaming. It's missing on torr3nts too. This is indeed strange...

Original is available on NF!

Murshid - 6.5/10

Kay Kay Menon was excellent. Story is good and it stands strong not because of graphic depiction of violent content but because of Menon and Zakir Hussain's performance. Rajesh Shringarpure (as Jayendra Rao) was also very good in the role he played. I did have a few quibbles with the plot in certain places in the last couple of episodes but the flashback twist in the end was a good surprise.

Looking forward to Season 2 now...

Started watching, 2.5 episodes down. Typical Korean Cop setting so far. Very Good is Typical BTW! :) A bit of paranormal is thrown in.

One wouldn't regret watching.
Completed some time back. Excellent! Emotion, Thriller, Paranormal, A heady cocktail.

Ends midway in the original story, So a S2 is definitely coming. Original is 16 episodes and a very good series.

Gyaarah Gyaarah is an excellent adaption. Very well juxtaposed in UK. The UK setup in itself acts as a character. Many legal, societal aspects which were heart of story and had to be kept, look out of place in Indian setup. But. We are all used to it with so many original and inspired movies/series we have seen..

Just like most remakes comes across as dumbed down many times. Most weak point for me were two cop protagonist characters, too weak whether you look at them as standalone or compare to originals. Unconvincing characters for me. Raghav Juyal seem to me one of those actors who plays one personality in all roles. Too early to say though.

But, very good watch, things not withstanding.
