Non Tech/ General hot deals thread

Its just a fan and a filter, so maybe should go here.

Ikea airpurifiers are crazy cheap right now. I bought for more than 2x and happy with it. Filters are cheap enough and its nice and simple. There is a table version too which is also very cheap.
Even sensor is down to 25% of the price i bought it for. Its a nice accurate PM2.5 sensor.
Crazy, i hope they are not going to discontinue. Anyone buying, maybe take a few extra filters just in case.

5000 - Air purifier

1000 - Sensor

I have ordered shoes/sandals from Amazon & Flipkart and always received original. Just make sure that you order from the official seller.
I've read, at least about Amazon us, that if it's Amazon fulfilled they don't keep the sellers separated in their warehouses. So you could from x but get something fake from y. Not sure how true that is for India.

I didn't know ikea sell this kind of stuff. My order for household just got delivered. Might order these as well. Thanks for posting.
Yeah i also found it accidentally and ended up buying it some months back. I have liked every ikea product that i have bought so far.
Generally they seem to be simple and functional and well designed in how they work.

The sensor seems to be unavailable online for my pincode. So delivery may be an issue for some products depending on where you live. Air purifier is available.

1000 - Sensor
Can anyone help deliver this to my address, I'll pay. I badly need a reliable air quality monitor.

Edit : nvm it's out of stock

How good are the Ikea air purifiers in removing pollution? Wall mounted /stand Purifier + AQI monitor for 5639 and they're willing to ship to me. Looks classy compared to the boxy ones.

It might be effective for small room, ikea gives detailed specs .
( Ex - https://www.ikea.com/in/en/manuals/starkvind-air-purifier-black-smart__AA-2284960-6-100.pdf )

But at current prices, i will strongly recommend the better one instead which is very highly discounted ( i bought at 13k, sale price 5k).
Also that sensor isn't great, less details and likely less accurate. The one i linked earlier is much better, better to wait for it if its not available. I had to wait for a month or so after buying airpurifier before it was available to ship to my pincode. I bought that for 4k ( sale price is at 1k !) and its well worth it even at full price vs competition.

Also, the sensor you linked is actually integrated in starkvind for its auto mode. But the other sensor is better ( it can be linked too, but i prefer manual).
Because its stronger, i run it at speed 3/5 most of the time which reduces noise.

There is also a table version of AP for 1k more - again crazy prices.

Where did you get that pdf from? Do we need an account to view that? I can only see the care pdf and installation pdf. manual is not available on that page.
That round purifier is available for me at close to 5k. But looks huge looking at the pics. I wanted something to hang on the wall and this round thing does seem to have a wall mount option.

In below, click on product details, then on assembly and documents.

Its slightly above my kneecaps. There is a chair version that you can try to make part of the room if space is an issue. It wont hang off walls.

In terms of deal, this is much better - same price i think whereas regular price its more than double vs FÖRNUFTIG. Normally its ~6k vs 13k i think but now its about the same.
Its also better product with better airflow/stronger fan/more settings/larger filter (>2x i think) which you can check in spec.

Look at reviews for the other one, its decent and i think bit popular due to price(+ ikea filters are reasonably priced)
But if you need to run it at full speed then it might be more noisy than the larger one and it will work better in larger rooms clearing out rooms earlier.

^that definitely qualifies for this product

I saw some YT reviews and they mentioned these IKEA air purifiers only have Hepa12 filters. Most good/better air purifiers use Hepa 13/14 filters. So i put off buying the ikea purifier.

Thats just mindless reviews with a specs porn fetish. Not saying others are bad, but this one is good too.
I have sensors to verify and rn in my room PM2.5 is 3 and i am using fan speed 3 ( max 5) and my room does leak in air.

I have used it on multiple occasions to bring down PM2.5 from about a 100 to <5. Did not time it but under 15mins i think, definitely under 30mins.

Air purifiers are used in a closed room and air circulates multiple times through it. 99.5% vs 99.9% isnt making much difference and airflow will matter just as much.
There will ofc be AP with better airflow than this one but at 5k its a steal and is functional enough for a room. I am happy with it anyway.
Filter cost is reasonable at 1k. I bought 4 just in case.

Even with 70% filters and very high airflow you can get better air purifiers than 'true' Hepa
Look up https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corsi–Rosenthal_Box

Just from google search. You can search more. People use MERV13 ( i think) with DIY air purifiers and it works better.
