Rate the Last Movie You Saw...

The Killers Game : 5/10
Insane plot but fun watching Drax the Destroyer destroy the other puny assassins like matchsticks.

Memories of Murder : 8/10
One word : Fantastic

The Next Three Days (2010) - 8/10
A gripping thriller. Russell Crowe was fantastic as expected.

Malamaal Weekly (2006)- 7/10
Fun movie to watch with the family! Good story coupled with Om Puri & Paresh Rawal's acting made it entertaining.

Salem's Lot (2024) - 6/10
A decently made vampire thriller!

Jigra (2024) - I don't even want to rate this shit. Watching this was like having the D-Day assault on your grey cells!

  • The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (2015)
Releasing this movie just a couple of days after of MI: Rogue Nation was Guy Ritchie's biggest let off, because people wanted more spy action and this in turn hid the movie's massive shortcomings.

While I couldn't properly make out whether the story was intentionally a parody (similar to Rowan Atkinson's Johnny English) or taking a dig at other spy films, but what I do know is that it was extremely cliched. Also, the pacing of the film was incredibly bad, as everything felt rushed, including the ending.

While I don't watch Guy's movies religiously, but his Sherlock Holmes franchise (starring Robert Downey Jr) are his best works. And this movie doesn't hold a candle to those two.

The only redeeming performance was from Armie Hammer (the Winklevoss body double from The Social Network). Henry Cavill was sub-par, with bits of spark here and there, especially with the comedic sections. And as usual, Alicia Vikander (casted as the Bond-girl) was wasted. She just isn't made for these types of roles. No wonder her Tomb Raider experiment failed to break even, because she doesn't have the charisma as Jolie did.

Sound mixing and cinematography was outstanding, as one would expect from a Guy film. He only just needs to stop writing the screenplay for his movies and it would be a blockbuster.

Rating it 7/10

The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (2015)
Similar to Mission impossible, this was supposedly derived from of the TV series -

Agree, although I found his older movies like Snatch and Lock, Stock and two Smoking Barrels to be even better overall.

Thank you for the insight!

Also, I loved Snatch. The 'infamous' pub scene first came to my mind when you mentioned it, and the raw British humor reminded me of Blackadder from the 80s. The entire film was a roller coaster from start to finish.

Stree 2 - 2 / 10

Utter garbage.

+1.
I would rate 0/10.

Was it a comedy movie they were trying to make?
The horror part was okay IMO. I am okay with the story as well (with the supernatural element, bollywood stories mostly are junk anyways)
But what's up with the forced cringy dialogues in almost all scenes.

Deadpool Wolverine - 5/10
- that's too much TVA crap. Even comedy was so-so.

The Substance - https://g.co/kgs/WT9kb6e
This movie is very different. It reminded me of the movie Limitless but completely of different genere. Demi Moore acting is superb along with Dennis Quaid and Margaret Quailey. The pace of this movie is good and the vfx work is very nice for this low budget movie.
This movie has a fair amount of nudity. Not meant for children.

Khel Khel Mein (2024) - 6/10
Interesting premise and a decent watch. I just felt the ending was a little too melodramatic.

The Silent Hour (2024) - 5/10
Good story but marred by sorry acting of antagonists in the movie. Missed the mark.
