Budget 51-70k PC more than good enough for most use cases like editing, moderate gaming, programing

Thank you.

On turning off the plug after getting into bios, system started giving short continuous beep after 5 mins. And then turned off suddenly without any warning after that 2-3 mins of short continuous beeps. Not very alarming.

Whereas on that day it was continuous loud alarm before turning off in under 30 seconds perhaps.

Monitor got black spots and its not fun. I feel like upgrading monitor. Productivity apps like Photoshop, browsing first preference then counter strike 2 occasionally.

Acer Nitro Xv272U V3 which I see @OMEGA44-XT and others

recommending is not available to my pincode from Amazon. Any models to watch out for sale during diwali.

if the discount is not good i prefer buying offline or reputed online vendors.
Main sale is already over for this year

XV272U V3 goes out of stock intermittently, it can't be delivered to BLR as well right now. Keep an eye on it & buy it when it is available next. It was under 16k with card offers, but it is good even if you can grab it for 17-18k.

Zebronics 1000va. Is it good to go

Any other monitor suggestion for the said purpose.

Can tv replace monitor like this- Limited-time deal: Acer 109 cm (43 inches) I Pro Series 4K Ultra HD LED Smart Google TV AR43UDIGU2875AT (Black) https://amzn.in/d/0j2uMdV

I could be in Bangalore this weekend. What is a good place to buy electronics, adapters, pci cards. I read about SP road.

Ask once in local offline shops too & if difference is a few hundred rupees then get from there because battery capacity deteriorates with time & in offline shops you can check mfg date before buying (don't buy more than 3-4 months old unit). Also, apc ups will cost more but will also have much better after sales support & their battery life will also be longer.

No, poor longevity on Zeb & other cheap UPS

No, most TVs can't replace a monitor. For gaming, Acer XV272U V3 outperforms all TVs until 55k or so where you might get a 4K 120Hz TV.

Well generally it is true but my old generic iball ups still going strong after almost 5 years though I do replace its battery every 1.5 years & it has been used with a system with total power consumption less than 200w.
I have a Zebronics 600VA UPS, battery almost died down within 1.5 years or so. Replaced it, replacement battery is now almost gone as well after 2 years.

My main APC BX1100 UPS is 2.5 years old, the battery is weaker but is still very much usable.

Actually, ~1.5 years is the life of a typical ups battery (have used exide as well as amron). APC uses some kind of higher tier battery in their ups which is not sold in typical retail mkt it seems.

It seems issue is when generator kicking in. Computer is not turning off when power cut happens but when generator is returned on. Are there ups's not compatible with generator.

Today morning power went out but computer didn't turn off. Within a minute or so they turned on the generator and as soon as that happened ups produced loud sound and system turned off.

Don't know if it's coincidental.

600VA UPS should take load of a gaming PC when not gaming or when playing light games. Not sure of the latter part, maybe there was a power surge or something when generator started, not sure.

Mention exact model of ups & psu you are using along with any home inverter/voltage stabilizer you are using.

so ups is doing something protective. Do i need to use a stabilizer when there's a ups.
UPS -Model: zebronics ZEB-U775 650va/360w

Smps- MSI a650bn

No home inverter. living in a flat. They turns on the generator. I think manually as there is delay between power cut and generator power.

go with APC, the premium you will pay is not only for peace of your Mind but safety of your Complete System/Parts.

UPS will provide you constant protection against spike in power supply but also gave you few minutes (depend on battery capacity you select), so on sudden power cut/outage you will get some time to save work and shut down system normally.

it is available via APC online partner, will cost 2-3 times more compare to Exide/amron price.

No. I am guessing there is a wide voltage variation when generator backup power kicks in which ups is unable to handle. Not sure if voltage stabilizer will help with that but if willing to experiment with around 1k rupees product (it is anyway a decent product to have) then get this device & plug it in the wall socket & then plug the ups into this device & hopefully it will block the initial voltage fluctuation/surge when generator backup power kicks in.

@rsaeon

I'm not sure if putting an AVR before the UPS is a good idea.
Anyway, most UPS's handle input voltages between 140 — 300v. Your's has a much lower range, which could be the problem. How long have you been using it? Because if the problem was the voltage it should have showed up before.
