Monitors Help me select a 27" 1440p IPS monitor

UPDATE:
Finally, bought a Dell UltraSharp U2724D. It was back on stock only a month back after a long time. Got it from a local retailer for 29.5k including tax and shipping.

It is pretty neat except for the usual IPS glow in the corners mostly noticeable only when the monitor is very near. As I only had IPS monitors for more than a decade I'm used to this and this monitor is much better.

Any reason to spend 29k on a 1440p 120Hz monitor?

You're referring to this Acer Nitro XV275U P3 27 Inch VA Panel ? If so, it is overpriced for a VA panel Mini-LED or not.
Have you seen prices for other mini LED monitors? Right now that one is the cheapest mini LED monitor with a good amount of FALD zones.

Anyways OP has made their choice & that monitor at 29k is not worth recommending to anyone else IMO. For 20k, yes, can consider for the extra contrast ratio, at double the cost of XV272U V3, easy no.

I would suggest LG Ultragear 27GP850. I have been using one myself for last 2 yrs and it has been running smooth. Also after sales support for LG is quite Good and ultragear series has a 3yr warrantly

Has anybody owned Acer Nitro XV275U P3 27 VA panel? I was thinking to get one. I'm more into HDR gaming and occasionally competitive gaming casually.

LG Ultragear QHD Nano IPS -27GP850 - https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B09YDHBSKJ/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_1?smid=AJ6SIZC8YQDZX&psc=1

This monitor was available for 26.2k, a discount of ₹5250 with HDFC CC and 12mo NC-EMI. Is this a good monitor? I have been eyeing this to replace my old 1080 screen.

The current offer is ~4.8-4k off on Amazon / ICICI cards.

Is this a good deal/monitor to consider?
yeah it's one of the best monitors for gaming nanoips, almost no other monitor offers 400 nits brightness at this price, I just bought this monitor last month for around 25k, there was some flash sale on LG's own website, it has 3 years warranty. Not much productivity features per se, like the gigabyte M27Q which also runs at almost the same price it has inbuilt KVM. In short you definitely won't regret buying this monitor, but do look at others, if you're into high refresh gaming there's one asus released recently which was 300hz 1440p around 27k but yeah somewhat lacking in brightness and other aspects. Good built Quality and register at LG for 3 yrs warranty. The rtings website might not exaclty give the best review but you could look at hardware unboxed among other reviewers who've recommended this.

Keep an eye out for deals on LG website , they run sales and Diwali is coming, you could maybe talk with purchase specialist and sometimes they give code to reduce price by 1k. I was able to snag 27GP850 for about 24k.

It is fake HDR, only FALD or OLED panels are true HDR capable
Its VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified not fake. It may not be good enough, but you should blame the VESA HDR standard for the bare minimum criteria.

Its still not good for HDR, who cares about stupid standards.
We need high peak brightness + great contrast + good blacks. Normal IPS monitors have none of that with ugly backlight.

Both oleds and minileds have their own weakness too. oleds have less full screen brightness apparently ( its too bright for me in a dark room though)
and mini leds have blooming etc.

acer mini led at ~30k is cheapest to get hopefully decent HDR +2k 27 but reviews are lacking for it.
Anyway 22k is not bad price. Acer XV one goes to 15k or so is cheaper and still good.

Went looking for reviews, i guess i missed it. Havent gone through them, but seem ok for the price on surface.
If i had deskspace, i would pick one of them up and use for work + to see miniled vs oled HDR.

Companies who make panels or monitors make the standard & have an incentive to lie to consumers. Same is the case with HDMI where they rebranded HDMI 2.0b to be called HDMI 2.1 as well, thus confusing general people.

i have the Acer XV275U P3.
i agree about the HDR part. NOTHING comes even close to doing HDR below 600 true nits.
Best Decision I ever made, going in for the Mini-LED display.

Out of topic for this thread, but maybe many might be interested in this -

There was a complaint by HUB review that switching between HDR and SDR is not good and you have to change multiple settings each time ( which is annoying) and HDR and SDR dont have separate settings. How is that working for you ? Can you create profiles with HDR/SDR settings and change between them ? Can Acer desktop software do this ?

There is AOC model that might be better than this at this price but its not available in India.
