Hey guys, needed your suggestions on a couple of things.
1.. Wish to get a vpn service for more protection while using the internet.. Now that parents, kids all are into using internet..
I can try setting up a free one if at all it's possible via my archer c80 or C7 wifi routers ( I am a total newbie in this)

2.. Secondly I would like to get a licence for idm.. If it's available for cheap.. (otherwise trial reset is the thing for my usage)

There are a few other queries as well.. Will post later..

You can checkout NORD.
they have good service. They also provide virtual India IPs as well. they have reasonably priced long term subscriptions available.


For IDM, you can start Interest check for Group order.
I guess many people will be interested to get a legit IDM license. We did similar GO few years back.

Used to be my go to whenever relatives were coming from US , checked it and prices are high even after BF discounts..

checked prices of NORD VPN : around 7k for 27 months, not cheap most certainly .. but i am saving it for now..
Just remembered an app , gonna try and update..

Will start the IDM interest thread as well..
let me mail them first about best prices for 5 or 10 lifetime licenses, but the mess-up is I have 2 PCs at home will i be able to use the license on both ???

IDM license works fine as long as you don't simultaneously use 2 devices. I had purchased mine a decade ago and had it installed on multiple Windows devices.

As for VPN, depends on your use. I dont expect privacy, so mostly use for bypassing geoblocks and some of the lifetime deals work fine for this use case.

Yes. Lifetime deal like I got back in 2017 or so. $17 for lifetime max 5 devices simultaneously. Still using it on need basis.
Vpn unlimited is the name.

Lifetime IDM - Have activated it more than 10 times but always running on 1 PC only

As for VPN have been using Surfshark for more than 2+ years now. Works good. I think it is Rs.4350 for 30 months. Some of us TE members (5 of us to be precise) have joined together and bought it couple of years back and have also renewed it now.
 
Well, I just recalled that till 2 years back when I shifted to ungoogled chromium, I was using zenmate extension on Firefox, which was working well..
Today I installed the same on my ungoogled chromium browser and viola it's still working with 4 servers.. Pretty nifty lil thing
 
Bit off-topic, but do we really need a VPN ?
My only thing which might need privacy/security is using torrents.
I am on a shared connection via PPOE, PC connected by internal home router from TP-link (stock router security, no vpn)
