Indians Being Deported from USA are treated so inhumanely.

optics less, deterrence yes. a modicum of decency even in deterrence by way of not allowing it to be publicised widely but still getting the message across & discourage the errant boys & the 'kabootarbaazi' industry (or whatever its known as) that the govt cant be seen/expected to act as their supportive 'pickup service' if they pursue their 'dreams' illegally & take the fall. it wouldnt want to create any such precedent for such future attempts & illegal means.

Lol you aren't making any sense. Deterrence but without optics? Lol trying to hard too defend the govt's failure

Apparently, there are ~18k on hold, above 7.5L illegal Indians there.
Cost involved sending flights for this will be unbearable for Indian govt.
Would've been better for USA to utilize ships for this purpose.
dtrump may be probably using this as a deterrent, will wind down eventually after some 'deals'.

That is the most we managed, 35 years ago. But the flying distance was much shorter

by optics i meant not wanting to show the kind of mistreatment they got or they being questioned here but deterrence in the way of not being supportive either that they should be expected to pickup illegals & encourage this trend further.
pls explain the "failure" here while you're loling; that these people weren't provided a pickup service? or/and that the process should've been given full-blown coverage for 'optics'? perhaps i will agree.

Happened only because in reckless war of those times, passenger ships were not at all even remotely safe option.
Comparatively short distance, Indian Airways could write off so much money those days without much care, now govt does not own airlines.

Movie Airlift is about this man's life story:

All illegal immigrants have been treated the same. There is no exception. I have seen footage of non Indian immigrants being sent back to the home nation exactly in the same way.
Is this inhumane? - Absolutely Yes!
Does US give a **** ? Absolutely No!
These immigrants made their choice long back no point talking about this now.

I read somewhere that they're chained because there have been instances in the past where the returnees became violent during the flight.

With 200 per flight, it'll cost them nearly $90 Million to get them all back? Illegals still pay taxes and the lowest sales tax burden per person per year in the US is $340, so that's an additional $6 Million "lost" per year, just for these 18000.

Anyone else get the feeling that this is really dumb? This can't be the only adminstration that came up with this idea, the previous ones probably ran the numbers and decided it wasn't worth it.

Why do you expect them to do otherwise? Just be grateful they weren't 'disappeared' or sent to gitmo.

If our well-being depends on kindness of other people, we still have some distance to travel.

Think of it as a reality check and get to work.

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor said the US had the right to deport people who had entered the country illegally but criticised the manner in which they were deported.

"To send them like this abruptly in a military aircraft and in handcuffs is an insult to India, it's an insult to the dignity of Indians," he said.
Look at the opposition. So people who illegally take dunki through jungles where people die everyday, through areas ruled by smugglers, drug lords, etc and go to USA by ducking under a fence uphold the dignity of India? F the opposition if he thinks these illegal people uphold the dignity of India. Dumbass.
And that one guy who said USA tortured him in the bbc article - he is the type of person who destroys India's image in rest of world. For a few dollars, he went to that country and he is making excuses like he should be treated fairly. If he wanted fair treatment why didn't he take the legal route? Should have gone legally to USA on a work visa. I bet such people even ran off to Canada saying India treats them poorly.

If this is the standard protocol for all nations. Then nothing much can be said.
But if it is particularly Indians being treated ..there has to be raised an issue with them on discrimination.

I am not sure how other countries illegal immigrants are being treated.

Chinese are very quiet about it like usual.

As for Pakistanis , Bangladeshi...I think they will be treated similarly for sure.

Everyone hates Indians. Whether it's standard protocol or not, we should shut up. What these Indians did was not proper. Did we raise slogans against them in parliament when they went to USA illegally?
If no, then we should shut up and take it quietly.

Indian citizens or not , If they wanted to leave India so badly so as to willingly enter another country illegally ?
Should've airdropped them over Pakistan instead and have their citizenship revoked.

Well here is one more option -

They aren't criminals for god sake. Maybe some of them may have some record their but 90% were just normal people chasing better life.

Cold drinks, juice, vannila milkshake for people who cross borders "illegally" but sure, since when "illegal" act became criminal?

Free air ticket isn't enough though. where is the dominos pizza for illegal migrants?

and 90% were normal people data came from aasmani knowledge

The same :angelic: people on this thread (and general India) condemning the treatment of illegal immigrants of Indian nationality being treated "inhumanly" would cheer :rage: (perhaps even masturbate secretly) at the news of Pakistani/Bangladeshi immigrants being physically tortured by Indian Police and Army.

News channels/articles highlighting how these illegals had to endure so much hardship, to enter the US, via the 'donkey route', such as crossing hills, rivers, etc., after spending 40+L, is frankly getting out of hand. Families of the illegals "shocked" that they were deported. What are they crying about? They chose to do it. Now why cry for sympathy? I don't get this fascination of migrating illegally to foreign lands. It's not like they can land a lucrative job right after arriving there, as an illegal. What better life? People who migrate even legally struggle.

Pakistani/Bangladesh "illegal" immigrants being physically tortured by Indian police and Army.

Masturbate? Yes, I would fap to that. It's better to do that instead of supporting illegal immigrants who have committed illegal crime of crossing the borders.

ran off to Canada

Interestingly, the Khalistanis who complain that India is denying them visas also demand shutdown of Indian High Commission in Canada and breaking all diplomatic ties with India.
Dumb idiots. If the Indian high commission closes how will they or any Indians in Canada get visas? Indian govt should call their bluff and temporarily shut down Indian HC in kanadaa
