Indians Being Deported from USA are treated so inhumanely.

optics less, deterrence yes. a modicum of decency even in deterrence by way of not allowing it to be publicised widely but still getting the message across & discourage the errant boys & the 'kabootarbaazi' industry (or whatever its known as) that the govt cant be seen/expected to act as their supportive 'pickup service' if they pursue their 'dreams' illegally & take the fall. it wouldnt want to create any such precedent for such future attempts & illegal means.

Lol you aren't making any sense. Deterrence but without optics? Lol trying to hard too defend the govt's failure

Apparently, there are ~18k on hold, above 7.5L illegal Indians there.
Cost involved sending flights for this will be unbearable for Indian govt.
Would've been better for USA to utilize ships for this purpose.
dtrump may be probably using this as a deterrent, will wind down eventually after some 'deals'.

That is the most we managed, 35 years ago. But the flying distance was much shorter

by optics i meant not wanting to show the kind of mistreatment they got or they being questioned here but deterrence in the way of not being supportive either that they should be expected to pickup illegals & encourage this trend further.
pls explain the "failure" here while you're loling; that these people weren't provided a pickup service? or/and that the process should've been given full-blown coverage for 'optics'? perhaps i will agree.

Happened only because in reckless war of those times, passenger ships were not at all even remotely safe option.
Comparatively short distance, Indian Airways could write off so much money those days without much care, now govt does not own airlines.

Movie Airlift is about this man's life story:
