Delhi High Court Judge caught with Heaps of Cash in his home. Justice compromised?

You could say naive, but yeah, I agree.

Still, I'll say there are less bhakts per-capita than say 5 years ago. Today, not many will attack you for saying India is a lawless country.

Cash, gold, land, bitcoin etc. What are you going to track and how?
Yo man
You can say I was a bhakt not anymore as I am somewhat sceptical about how the shows running in the country than it was 5 years ago.
Now all those above cannot be tracked I guess according to my knowledge.
Now Still I am reeling from YSRCP loss due to EVM tampering in AP and am paying 2.5k every month to my wife as I lost the bet during June,24 votes counting.

Start with cash. It's the easiest to track. (I misread this, thought you were talking about bank accounts as cash. If you're talking about physical cash, then that's what I am proposing we ban isn't it, precisely because it is difficult to track but the easiest to do away with).
BTC is easy to track as well.

Land and Gold are another beast, but if we can do something about the lower hanging fruits, should we not?

At least it'll make things more difficult.

I think tracking is not the problem here.
I think those in power in all states might be involved in moving cash or Bit Coin during the elections for spending to voters. Why nobody stopped them I ask. Because its all in the game or part of the game.
Even I heard that Amitabh has a farm in MH for mining BTC during BTC craze and nobody said a word about it but only one or two newspapers said that.

I agree. Moving cash is extremely easy to do without any scrutiny.
At least with bank accounts there is some traceability.

And gold/land are just not feasible to move around during elections. So if we do away with cash, we'll remove a lot of the ease of corruption.

BTC's traceability is similar to bank accounts.

And yes, traceability doesn't mean corruption will stop.
But it will bring accountability.
And if and when things go to court, proving cash was moved is much more difficult to do than these other traceable options.

Mining BTC is fine as long as taxes were paid on it. It is just like mining iron.
To transfer BTC to INR, you need KYC linked accounts, and that brings traceability into account.

LOL. Talk about a costly election!

The moment you start tracking one thing, they'll switch to an alternative.

Precisely!
But the other options will start getting more and more inconvenient is what I'm talking about.

Cash is the easiest to deal with and we should be removing this ease-of-business in corruption.

Yes, exactly.
What about Hawala? We are not talking this form of moving cash with a half torn note.
Nobody can even trace this.
I once heard about a guy who can move 1000 crores from my wife's uncle. Her uncle's classmate became very big mover of hawala.
It's like which CM wants money they call this man. He will send a note to the respective city or state and there they get the money delivered to their door step. Shit no questions asked.

Bottom-line, as long as the Govt keeps punishing people going digital, people will find a way.

If we do away with cash, we remove a lot of power from Hawala too.

Physical cash is a very big portion of the Hawala system's liquidity.

Welcome to the real world. Most judges, readers, even court peons have net worth in 100s of crores.
Just the 498a industry was worth 15000 crores in 2015. Now with justice getting more opaque, its more money in everyone's coffers.

Read the report on Kejriwal's liquor scam. They used hawala operators to move 100s of crores of cash.

Deshbhakt has made a good episode on the judicial corruption.

Approximately 1600 formal complaints regarding judicial corruption have been filed, according to data from the current government. However, no actions or investigations have been taken on any of these complaints.

Reason ?
Because, govt cannot invetigate the judges directly and as part of collegium system, the investigation is done by "in house system" !

I think the govt not being able to investigate judges and the judiciary is a good thing because separation of powers and an independent judiciary is required for a well functioning democracy.
But with cases like these and other issues like judges being able to join a political party right after retirement, its quite obvious there needs to be checks and restrictions put in place.
This case reminded me of that one time when former CJI Ranjan Gogoi was accused of sexual harassment by a Supreme Court employee, and he ended up being the judge in his own sexual assault case and dismissing it lol.

Fine.
What's stopping the Govt from investigating its own politicians for corruption, rapes etc?

What investigation? what in house system?

What investigation? what in house system?
I have a friend who was in live in relationship with multiple men and she does not want to file rape cases because the live in was not intended to be temporary but she thought one of them would have married her but it did not turn out that way.
Now that live ins, gays and lesbians all are legalised I think. So now this intrusion of modesty of a woman does not arise I think right?
more you dig, more clear you see the graves. grave of honest people, grave of innocents, grave of taxpayers, grave of of everything where justice is/was/will denied, buried everywhere you will dig.
What is the use of digging any graves if justice cannot be served. Everything is monetised for a price. Nothing comes for free except some govts schemes to their voters like free ration, free current and free health scheme likewise. Even these are to woo the citizens to vote for them. Nowadays voters are taking money from one neta and voting some other neta who gives more promises. So everything is money or free schemes that's all.
I lost a bet in the last election of June,24 for similar tactics in our state.
Previous CM gave 2.25 lacs to eligible voters in 5 years span and voters voted for another during elections. Even he got surprised by the results. Me, my father and he and his fellow MLAs are thinking that EVMs tampering played a major role in swinging the results finally.
I saw the counting started at 8.30 am in favour of previous CM and I took a little nap and when I got up at 10.30 am everything changed to the present CM. I thought shit what has happened.
There were many youtubers who said about EVM tampering and what can we do now.
So we are urging our favourite party leader to ask for paper ballot next time.
Shit, this BJP is doing all kinds of gimmiks of EVM tampering and winning elections and nobody is able to stop them. ****ers.
