Is mehtabrothers.in legit?

Maybe that was done on purpose for items they don't have in stock. In any case, they've made me waste a lot of time.
Most likely. It's a common tactic to stall orders if they don't have the item in stock. Have you not tried calling them and asking about it over the phone? At least you would get an answer this way.

@ciso_tech : Please check your DM box. I'm taking you up on your kind offer to help.

I placed my order on the 13th May (more than 10 days ago) but they have neither shipped it nor replied to any of the several mails I sent them. Not even to my ultimatum to cancel the order if they couldn't ship it within 24 hours. That was 4 days ago.

Fortunately the order was COD because there was a persistent glitch with the prepaid process. Maybe that was done on purpose for items they don't have in stock. In any case, they've made me waste a lot of time.
Did you get a response yet…. I was thinking of ordering a ssd from them

Not a word. I sent them an email cancelling my order yesterday - 15 days after I placed the order. No response to that either.

Maybe they'll conduct themselves better with items they have in stock. But that's no excuse for their behaviour.

As an old guy who's been in a high-tech field for over 50 years in a remote part of the country, I've dealt with both Indian and foreign companies. The difference is like night and day.

I mentioned this in a forum many years ago. One member said that Indian firms don't have the manpower to correspond with customers. This is not true at all. I've dealt with companies of all sizes from one-man shows to giant corporations. The difference between Indian firms and foreign ones is the same at all levels.

Today, I visited the store to check on an order which @Pimpom shared with me and was told they don’t handle online orders. They gave me a colleague’s number to contact. When I called and asked about Order #1120, he said it wasn’t in stock. I inquired about RTX 4070 cards, and he gave the same response. Frustrated, I asked why they hadn’t informed the buyer, who had been waiting 20 days. He made excuses, saying he gets too many emails and might have forgotten. I questioned why items are listed online if they’re not in stock, and he explained that they sell out quickly, and the online SKU updates sometimes lag. When I asked what to do about Order #1120, he simply said to consider it canceled since it’s out of stock.

Stay away from that site. Customer support is almost none. I had better experience with AvikaRetails with good price. I live in Delhi, and ordered RTX 5080, and got it delivery in like 4 hours. Their whatsapp support is fast, they will tell you in advance if product is with them or not. Also, avoid payu money they charged 4K extra.

Apart from that Vedant Computers,Elitehubs,a and MD computers are the sites I had always good experience.

Sincere thanks to @cisco_tech for his time and effort.
I just checked their site again and those items are still there, marked as having sold x quantities in the past 24 hours, like 17, 22, etc. They've been like this for weeks. Why do such people keep lying through their teeth? How do they survive despite such blatant lack of principles?

I will get lot of hate for this but the fact of the matter is Indians might make a song and dance about "culture" but as a society we are neither very civic nor very moral. Things like cheating and thuggery come naturally to us.
