Thank you Guys! with direct links I get around 220 kbps . This comes quite surprising as my friend who has a different provider and the max speed he gets is 40-45 kbps. Well! quite a difference isn't it? I waited a month for the connection, well it was worth the wait .BSNL rocks!

we have like most of institutes,we have had our p2p blocked,and pron sites blocked. Could they some how block direct downloads depending upon the file type,like they allow pdf files,but block mp3 files? and can they block students from using free anonymous proxy servers,like they won' work...
