APC suggested that I should get my hardware guy and make him test the watts input from CPU + monitor.

How do I check for overload? APC has quoted 1200/- for new battery. I have always been getting backup problems with this UPS and have replaced the model 3 times already when it was in Warranty period. Not sure whether to buy a new UPS or to replace the battery.

Thanks for replying 6pack. The problem is that it has stopped giving me any backup now and gives a sudden continuous beep while the computer in ON. Even after charging it for the whole night, I don't get any backup.
