    Random IEM / Headphone Rants

Hi nizarp, this may sound a lil silly but are you wearing the B2 around and over the ear or straight down? This has much to do with the fit of the iems and may provide a better seal thus leading to a better extension in the bass which you could be losing out due to seal issues. Also keep the...

    amp+iem for 10k budget

I had posted my review of a few iems when I had auditioned them a year back. I can't find the thread where I had posted it but I have my views which I had noted down on my iPhone when I was auditioning them. "Radius ddm : not very engaging, laid back, smooth mids, but not very lush. Fairly...

    amp+iem for 10k budget

same thing there are lot of iems but since he's mentioned his budget, I din't bother suggesting. For a flat freq response and good soundstage even the Westone UM3x and the Westone3 are amazing. But no point giving advice for iems if it doesn't fit the OP's budget. Right now TF10's are really...

    amp+iem for 10k budget

why are you considering buying an amp? You won't require an amp for iems. I suggest you should get an iem for that budget of yours like the Audio technica CK10 or the TF10. Has a very faint V curve in the freq chart and the CK10 has a slight treble spike. But both are the best in soundstage even...

    iBasso Dx100 DAP

I don't think iBasso are foolish enough to price it above $500. The kinda sales they would generate if they sell it less than $300 would make it an ipod killer. But since iBasso wouldn't even be capable of providing that kind of supply, they would price it around $400-$500. Definitely not more...

    iBasso Dx100 DAP

This looks rather interesting DX100: The DX100 is our reference Digital Audio Player (DAP). It can play most of the 24Bit/192kHz Lossless music. The whole design is based on the ES9018, which ESS claim as "The World's Best DAC Chip". • Support up to 24/192 Decoding • ES9018...

    Random DAC/Amp Thread!!

I wouldn't know about the Fiio e11 or the e9 since I haven't auditioned it myself. From what I can tell, the Srh940 seems like easy to drive headphones. Between the two, I feel the E9/E9i should be better than the E11 since it takes direct power rather than from a battery in the case of a E11.

Sound card and Headphones for movies and music

You won't be able to use a dac with ur clip+ or ur Sony player unless they have a digital out. You see a dac(digital to analog converter) requires a digital signal(0's and 1's) as input and converts it to an analog signal(signal waves). Generally one uses a dac with a computer thru a USB...

    Random DAC/Amp Thread!!

Haven't used a balanced setup yet. I'll believe my ears when I hear one. I don't think the RSA protector qualifies as a proper full balanced as it used a 4pin mini connector rather than a proper 3 pin dual xlr connector. Also non of my headphones are balanced terminated hence I din't feel the...

Shure SRH440 vs Sennheiser HD280 Pro vs Audio Technica ATH-M50 vs Grado SR60i/80i

PristineNote sells both Grado and AT and he is known for his impeccable after sales service. I would personally recommend it. Not that I am getting paid to market for him or anything. Its just my opinion. --- Updated Post - Automerged --- @puneetritehere your views will be much appreciated...

The Xonar St/STX offers impressive specs for its price. I've been using it for a long time now and it can even drive the 600ohm HD600 well. I don't need to say anything more since it one of the harder to drive headphones :) What I'm trying to say is you won't need to worry about it and you can...

    Suggest me earphones or headphones

Your question whether iphone4 can drive headphones or no is not entirely correct. My answer would be, depends on what headphones. As a simple rule of thumb, a headphone with a Sensitivity (dB) above 100dB and Impedance(Ohms) less than 45ohms, can be driven well from an iphone, and the same...

Sound card and Headphones for movies and music

If your main need is music or if you don't mind stereo sound in movies with a 3D soundstage then I suggest you skip the Xonar Dx. 10k is a good budget. I suggest you go for the Xonar ST/STX soundcard or add a little more and get the Audinst MX1 as it is external and be rest assured that you...

From the top of my head, Indian ocean and most of A.R. Rahman's music comes to mind for hindi music. Hard to find but if you can get the lossless collection of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan sahab and his collaborative work with Michael Brook, it should satisfy your desire for fusion music. The bassline...
