Totally agree with @gauravH.. There are tremendous margins in the furniture space but lack of skilled workmanship & designs along with overpricing is the norm in India.... Especially in Tier-II cities.. Even if you want something made using newer materials & fittings, they simply refuse...

Probably without proper invoice (Vat paid).... Invoice is sometimes not provided for some items...

It has more to do with those THAI import Laptops which are sold cheaper than the same offering in open market.. These laptops comes with local warranty only if its transferred to DELL India. Now either this is a hassle for DELL or local resellers are forcing out the competition by telling DELL...

Even same warning is on SHARP website for their Air Conditioners... No warranty if bought from Snapdeal..

Have seen sliding uPVC.... Only major problem I found is that it must be harder to clean those channels... Also can you find out if older grill can be used in a new uPVC setup...

These are prefab hence must be better than cheap aluminium out there... I've personally experienced uPVC window in a Hotel & they were pretty good... Though I don't have any experience with Eternia but suggested only as an option since its from Birla so quality would be better than local...
