Try MythTV. On some of the older cards, for sound to work, you need to plug a audio cable from the audio-out of the card to the audio-in/line-in of your souncard (onboard audio). Have you made the connections properly ?

Hey, I got the same mobo and q6600 processor which is 1066 FSB and ram is 1333mhz corsair value. The ram auto matically underclocks and runs at 1066 mhz. So you should be safe. :)
