I need a sansa for my brother. i own a clip+. I am getting sansa zip easily locally. But i am unsure if it sounds same as clip+ or not. Do the zip have an inferior SQ than the clip? Can it also be rockboxed? Should i go for it or get the clip+ from USA?

Do these amps increases the SQ, or they just amplify the mids higs or lows. Because few years back i had a fiio e3 and it seem like it just increases the volume output. Do these portable amps actually improves the SQ or they just kinda increase the volume? P.S. Yep it is not wallet friendly...
