+1 they offered me a refurbished monitor when my u2312hm was having some issues. It was 3 month old at that time. And do you think that's fair? You buy such a expensive monitor with so called "premium panel warranty" and they hand you a refurbished unit as replacement.

How much for my core i5 2500k, asus p8z68-v motherboard and corsair vengeance 8GB dual channel kit (2 x 4GB). All of them are around 3.6 years old. I think the ram is still in warranty, not sure.

There is a similar laptop under A series by ASUS. It's being sold for 22.5k locally. Comes with an i3. Don't know the full configuration though.

My 2500k reaches 16% utilization when running 1080p x265 content and while playing 720p it reaches just 8%. I don't even have a dedicated gpu at the moment. Going by the thread i was expecting it to be way higher.

For your usage an i5 would be a waste of money. Some good points down in the comments. Go for the i5.
