3G calling is through your data plan, Skype or other softwares work here, it's basically on Internet. While Sim calling is the real catch, Note tab & tab 2 have this feature & many other tabs offer it now. Apple is left behind on this by a mile.

Note 2 is a tablet, S3 a phone. If this is going to be your primary phone, you are better of with S3, Note 2 will have portability, use, etc. issues. Think for yourself, how in-convinient would it be using a tablet for round the clock phone calls!
