As long as you have sad ass Cowon headphones you are not gonna experience great sound quality anyway.. I suggest you buy the D2, and play around with firmware - it is VERY easy and safe to do it. iaudiophile.net has very simple guides on how to do it. I have the D2 and spent 3k ish on Shure...

I have the samsung 2033 SW and although good in general.. Dark scenes in movies are a pain to watch because it bleeds backlight like anything!!!
