PC Peripherals Dell 1908FP and Samsung 2033SW

Hey guys,

Please share your views and comparison points on Dell Ultrasharp 1908FP Flat Panel Monitor and
Samsung 2033SW. I am confused between these two...

Additionally If someone can give thier price in mumbai...

Go for Samsung 2033SW its better than Dell 1908FP.

Ya, even i read in few posts that samsung one is good choice. But i couldn't find any specific reasons. Hence the confusion... :S

Are you sure you can get your hands on the 1908FP? AFAIK its not available.

The Samsung is a comparatively newer panel. However the biggest differentiator between the two is the Dell is a 4:3 monitor and the Samsung is a wide-screen one.

thnx eddy.. yes dell one is not widescreen... nd i think i like the normal.
ones.. nd dell one is avail online..

^ Online where? The Dell site? When you ring them up they don't have it in stock

I'm looking for a normal screen as well, and apart from the E170s and the E190s (VGA only, no DVI input) haven't been able to find anything.

Yes; confirmed its not available in india... One horrid policy Dell has; i don know y they have even listed it on thier site.

Anyways samsung just won itself a customer :hap2:

Hi.. Am building a new setup. Would prefer sticking to Samsung LCD if possible.

Is it worth it to go for T190 that has a 2ms response rate and 20000:1 contrast rate? Any idea how much it will cost in Delhi?

I have the samsung 2033 SW and although good in general.. Dark scenes in movies are a pain to watch because it bleeds backlight like anything!!!
