Storage Solutions Multi-drive hard disk enclosure required

Are there no local options available? I have looked at a few models on newegg/amazon but want to try locally first. I have sent a similar request to Delta peripherals and am waiting for a reply. Mahavir computers only had a single drive enclosures with them the last time I saw. Any online...

Storage Solutions Multi-drive hard disk enclosure required

My hard disks are filling up real quick and I am at a point where I go around deleting stuff in the ascending order of importance. I do have enough spill-over space in my other HDDs but that is not going to last. Writing to DVDs is not fun. And neither is hunting for one to retreive something I...

PC Peripherals Room A/c to cool pc ?

There is a definite risk with condensation only if your components are not running hot already. That is to say, if you aren't running some benching apps on a over-volted and overclocked PC, then keep your PC away from the a/c vent. I guess cooling down to 20 degrees C is not too much of a risk...

Storage Solutions Connecting/Removing a SATA II HDD while the pc is on

@OP You mentioned in your PM that after enabling ahci, you didn't get the option to safely remove your hdd in windows. There may be a couple of things you need to check: 1. Your sata hdd must support hot swapping. I remember reading only sata 2 hdds support hot plug/swapping. 2. Make sure...

Storage Solutions Connecting/Removing a SATA II HDD while the pc is on

^Yes. If you enabled AHCI on the sata port via bios, then you will have the option to "safely remove" your hdd (just like a thumb drive). You can try removing without AHCI enabled as well, but unless you don't value your hdd, don't push your luck. Torrents can be resumed, you know.

Best headphone for movies/games in ~$250

Then it's the ATH-AD900 :hap2: Any chance that it's available in India, esp. Chennai? The cheapest I could find is $250, sans customs+shipping.

Best headphone for movies/games in ~$250

Hi, This is gonna be my first foray into audiophile-grade headphones. I need something that is good for Movies and Games. I don't want closed cups as I want to be aware of doorbells and such :bleh: Of course, I don't want anything that sounds too surgical/dry/flat. Some emphasis on bass...

    My Intel Core i7 @ 4.2 GHz

^When you say "perfect stable", how stable? Can you post some prime/occt/linpack stress test at that speed? Or maybe some benchmarks? I myself am content with benchmark-level OC stability.

    My Intel Core i7 @ 4.2 GHz

I've reached 4.2GHz on my i7 too, but I didn't post in this section because it's not stable for any benching -except for a run or two of super-pi or wprime. @Vivek 90, How stable is your OC? What are your volts?

Look upon my purchases ye mighty...

Thanks for the congrats, guys. I've been planning this upgrade for around 5 months now. Of course, since then the cpu+mobo choice has changed from a Q9450 + P45 motherboard to the current one (My XPerience as me). And BTW, added my rig to the rig gallery...

To all, thanks for your congratulations! I am still waiting on a few more components, actually. Goddamn USPS mail service takes forever to deliver my Thermalright 1366 bolt-thru kit and fans! @Sei, Yea, this thing looks and feels huge! I mean, it weighs about 1.3Kgs! The first time I lifted...

Thanks for the congrats. @Stalker, Fixed the links, thanks. About the title: I guess this is better than the full version of Ozymandias's quote that I wanted to put in here the first time: "My name is SiriusB, Member of Members: Look on my purchases ye Mighty, and despair!"

Look upon my purchases ye mighty...

:bleh: I don't usually do show-offs, so I hope this one lives up to it. This is special because I bought all of this from my own salary and my biggest purchase yet on my own. Here's to hoping I make more bigger ones ;) I am not one for yappin', so here are a few words followed by a few...
