Help with networking a small Office

Hey, Nice diagram cisco_tech! Thanks a lot. Yea, I found out that the gp2 had analog phone ports. But the plainer model that you suggested, WRT54G, looks right for the job. I'll try to match the switch model you gave too. I'm kinda new to this vpn thing. How well will this router meet my vpn...

Help with networking a small Office

^Hey, thanks cisco_tech, that looks like a good router for our network. The others in the office are convinced of the ipcop-based-gateway solution. I'll just have to convince them of this router. How much do you reckon this will cost? For the broadband, tata indicom Infinity (upto) 1mbps...

Help with networking a small Office

Hi all, Since the last time I was here, I am no longer unemployed:P I just joined a small IT company that's starting its office in India. The office will have 3 to 4 PCs; most probably 3 desktops and 1 laptop (all xp pro). I think this is how the setup must be: 1. All of the workstations should...

PC Peripherals HX620 breaking my system??

Hmm...then maybe it was "under-amping"? Because powerchute said that I was drawing ~324W windows idle when I was having trouble, and now powerchute says that it's ~384W windows idle. Interestingly enough, Antec TP2 was drawing ~420W windows idle with medium sensitivity. This might explain why...

    PC Peripherals Stuff from US

High-binning didn't do miracles to memory-oc in ocz. It's oc is about average. See here too: http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=2931&p=3

Lost Planet Extreme Condition demo is out ..

Yea, the game runs at something around 50 to 70 fps on default on me comp. But fraps doesn't work and printscreen captures a black screen.

PC Peripherals HX620 breaking my system??

I think I found the problem... it's the power. When my new APC battery melted the wiring for my flat, the lousy electricians somehow "undervolted" my flat :@ I had stopped using powerchute because in vista the mainserv.exe thing used by apc for managed shutdown constantly occupies 50% of cpu...

PC Peripherals HX620 breaking my system??

Eh? UPS can cause such problems? That might make the testing a bit easier, ie, just to change the ups. I have my old apc 500va too with me. The first time I switched on my system with hx620, it went in to windows no problem. But after sometime, the system locked up. Then it started happening...

PC Peripherals HX620 breaking my system??

^I checked the 12v and 5v rails with dmm and it was 12v=12.19~12.20 5v = 5.05~5.06 Haven't tried reinstalling the antec yet but I am pretty convinced the corsair's at fault since all this happenned just after I installed it. The only other thing I changed recently is my apc ups and that too...

PC Peripherals HX620 breaking my system??

I'll do that though it'd be a pain. One thing I noticed is that this psu is noticeably more hotter running than my Antec TP2.0 480w psu. Which is all the more baffling since this thing's more efficient than the antec.

PC Peripherals HX620 breaking my system??

I don't know how but quite a few things happened just after I added a corsair hx620 to my system: -My OC broke. I had to back down the ram and cpu volts and clocks to stock, else windows won't load or won't orthos. -This is more strange: my creative xfi sound card causes windows to freeze (with...

Unable to view some sites on airtel

I was about to bump this thread since the same problem persists, when I noticed that desitorrents and demonoid.com returned "hostname not found" errors in the browser and in utorrent. I've started using opendns again (had stopped using it when i learnt that it increased resolving latency)...

PC Peripherals Prime will have Thermalright Heatsinks on Wednesday !!

Since nobody seems to have noticed my post above, let me ask again. What is this lga775 bolt through kit? Does this mean that tr ultra 120 comes with a pushpin retention mechanism? If so, is the bolt thru type better? Thanks.

Unable to view some sites on airtel

I don' use third-party tools. Only the built-in firewall and that too only for blocking some programs from calling home. PS:I just tried again after turning all the vista security programs but no cigar.
